1. Neighborhood Cleanup (Per Schedule /Monthly and Or Weekly)
2. Workshops/Forums focused on Conflict Resolution
3. Community Programs that utilizes Spiritual Principles as a basis, per individual/personal
development
4. Annual Community Fast/Prayer (Bishop Dennis Lyons)
5. Adopt A Neighborhood Program (Promotes community/block pride via basic neighborhood
clean-up. Is currently enacted by Union Church every Wednesday from 6-7pm for the churchs
surrounding community.
6. West Louisville Street Patrol- (Implement mentoring programs for local youth).
7. Implement a community gun control/gun safety program (address the sale of guns in area pawn
shops, gun shops, and traveling gun shows). / Shelitha Breed
8. Implement an Ex-Offender Mentorship program for youth./ Shelitha Breed
9. Implement a Community Empowerment Initiative (Promotes community businesses,
entrepreneurship, nonprofit development, local commerce, and establishes area culturally
inclusive educational programs and schools).
10. Community Advocacy Board/Liaison to address property/rental issues (Slumlords, Neglected
Properties, and Rental Assistance.
11. Implement community programs that develops and promotes minority leadership within city
government.
12. Implement a personal development program for male youth that focuses on morals, positive
behaviors, and progressive lifestyle choices.
13. Take Back The City for Christ/ Long Run Associations Personal Development Program
14. Assess community youth needs and behaviors via surveys; per public transportation
15. Motivational Speaker Series (Sponsored by the community)
16. Media Campaign (Via Radio and TV, Social Media) that promotes Goodwill, Safety, and Hope.
17. Community Service/Mentorship Program as an alternative for those in arrears due to financial
hardships associated with child support arrearage.

19. More community activities/resources for area youth (arts, sports, youth centers, safe parks,
book stores, festivals and events).
20. Community/Neighborhood Phone Directory to promote unity and curb violence. (Next Door
Neighborhood App for mobile phones was recommended).

22. Transport Programs (For jobs outside the TARC service routes).

24. Implement Community programs/events that promotes the importance of family time
25. Resume Writing/ Career Development Workshops
26. Community Life Skills Workshops, per the following topics (Self Esteem, Character Building,
Substance Abuse, Sexual Abuse, Teen Pregnancy, Mental/Emotional Abuse).
27. Gang/Violence Intervention Programs
28. Open up metro corrections, JCYC, and community barbershops for mentoring and reentry
programs.
