This Linus Pauling thing and whether he used ascorbic acid vs. whole food
Vitamin C. I seem to see people still saying that he used ascorbic acid so
they use it but someone in another FB group quoted from The Calcium Lie
2 that Robert Thompson says that Pauling used whole Vitamin C. Once and
for all, what kind of vitamin C did Pauling use? I would love to have
something to show the folks that still think ascorbic acid is ok to take that
shows that Pauling used a whole food form of C!

Kim Tracey Konash Marsha do you have any documentation on the effect of
IFN-y's role in D3 comversion? Does it modulate the VDR? I would also be
interested to know if vitamin c in any form can increase this effect. I have
elevated D 1, 25 without supplementation and in spite of avoiding
concentrated sources of D like CLO

Marsha Scheitlin Robert Thompson My son & I are fast oxidzers, we have
adequate zinc and are to focus on Vitamin A and Magnesium, not Vitamin C. I
find that interesting has both Zinc and Vitamin C have an effect on the immune
system and zinc helps modulate TH1/TH2 - seems to favor TH1 and increases
IFN-y - as does Vitamin C. http://www.pubfacts.com/.../Zinc-transporter-ZIP8SLC39A8....

Robert Thompson Actually it is ascorbic acid that does the above, not
Vitamin C. It may be explained by the antagonistic effect of Zinc on Copper.
Also, one would expect the copper to be unutilized due the the ascorbic acid.

Kenneth Lim I guess just stick to wide variety of whole food (organic

Robert Thompson Marsha, Thats a lot of questions. Remember when it says
something is a Reducing agent, that means it is oxidizing (you probably know

Robert Thompson I am not sure why the blue disappears, probably it is

oxidation (being recuced). Oxidation is a powerful reaction. Remember, it turns
