Meeting Date: March 23, 2010

The meeting was called to order at 7:01PM. The pledge of allegiance was said by all.

Roll call: Supervisors Glen Castore, Kathleen Doran-Norton, Clerk Michael Norton were present;
Treasurer Brad Pfahning would be arriving late. Erik Bjornnard was not in attendance. Two
supervisors constitutes a quorum.

Agenda: The agenda was amended by Glen Castore to add a report by Dennis Brown on road grader
replacement and Kathleen Doran-Norton requested a brief report given by those who attendedthe
MAT training in Rochester,MN . Kathleen Doran-Norton motioned that the agenda be approved, Glen
Castore seconded, all approved.

New officers, Bruce W.Morlan, supervisor, and Janalee J.Cooper , clerk, were sworn in as new
officers.

Minutes were approved after minor edits, motion by Kathleen Doran Norton, seconded by Bruce
Morlan, all agreed.

Old Business:

• Road Grader: Dennis Brown gave a detailed report on road grader replacement.

• Annual organizational items. A series of motions were put forth:

o Election of officers:

 Chair. Doran-Norton motioned that Glen Castore be Town Chair. Morlan

seconded, all approved.
 Vice Chair. Castore motioned that Doran-Norton be Vice Chair. Morlan
seconded, all approved.

o Monthly meetings. Doran-Norton motioned that the monthly meeting date be changed
to the second Wednesday of each month, with work sessions be scheduled for the third
Wednesday. Morlan seconded, all approved.
o Officer compensation. Doran-Norton motioned that the the current compensation plan
be kept in place, with an adjustment on the Bridgewater Planning Commission pay to
be fifty dollars per meeting, with one meeting a month. Morlan seconded, all approved.
o Townhall cleaning. Doran-Norton motioned that Epic Enterprises be considered for
town hall cleaning, mowing. Morlan seconded, all approved.
o Official newspaper. Doran-Norton motioned that the Northfield News be retained as
the official newspaper of the township. Morlan seconded, all approved.

o Attorneys. Doran-Norton motioned that John Ophaug be retained as township attorney

and Peter Tiede be retained as township attorney for annexation issues. Morlan
seconded, all approved.
o Town depository. Doran-Norton motioned that First National Bank of Northfield, be
town depository. Castore seconded, all approved.
o Official location for posting meetings. Doran-Norton motioned that the Town Hall be
the official place for meetings to be posted. Morlan seconded, all approved.

• CWRP And stream protection. Ross Hoffman from CWRP gave a report on the stream
protection work being conducted. Discussion ensued.

New Business: None

Adjournment. Motion to adjourn by Morlan. Doran-Norton seconded, all approved. Meeting

adjourned at 10:05PM.
