Straight Through Cable

Strip a half inch to an outer


jacket away from the cable
and untwist the wire pairs.

Cut the Cat5E


Ethernet cable that
you need.

Using the crimper tool insert


the connector and cable into
8 wire slot and press down
tightly. You are now finish
terminating one end of the
cable. Repeat the process on
the other of the cable and
when you are done. Test
your cable by using it on your
network.

Trim the ends of the wires. Holding an RJ-45


connector with the tab side facing down, push the 8
wires into the connector, sliding each wire into a
groove.

Assemble the pairs of wires in the


following order for network cables.

Insert the wires into the RJ45. Be sure to
keep the wires in the correct order.

Using an Cat5 cutter and


crimping tool, strip about
1/3 of the out jacket of
the cat-5 cable.

Cross-over Cable

Insert the RJ45 connector into


the crimping tool. Crimp down
firmly on the crimping tool to
permanently attach RJ45 to the
CAT5 cable.
