DisputesAct,1956,theCauveryWatersTribunalwasestablishedonJune,
2,1990.
In2007,aftersixteenyearsofhearingandaninterimorderlater,the
Tribunalannounceditsfinalorder.Itconcludedthatthewateravailability
inCauverystoodat740tmcft,TamilNaduwouldbeallocated419tmcft
water(56.62%)andKarnataka270tmcft.(36.48%).Keralawasgiven30
tmcft(4.05%)andPuducherry7tmcft(0.94%).However,bothTamilNadu
andKarnatakafiledareviewpetitionbeforetheTribunal.
