Although both authors speak to the importance of family involvement in the

early intervention process, they view the specialist as the liaison between the
family and the school. My research will cover how the family will work with the
school and specialist to ensure that the childs needs are being covered in all
environments

Stage of action
research where the
source will be used:

Acar and Akamoglu identify the role of the family with children
that require early intervention services. Both view the parent
and the familys home environment as a constant in the childs
life. The role of the specialist is equally important in aiding the
child and the family. It is the responsibility of the practitioner to
keep a positive yet helpful relationship with the family

The research provided in this journal speaks to the importance of parent

participation. Additionally, the authors feel that it is the responsibility of the
specialist and teachers to reach out to the parents and find out what are the needs
of the family as well as the child.
Data Collection/Analysis Methodology- The information provided includes
statistical data of children between the ages of 3-5.
