Raising academic achievement is one of AlQEmma core priorities, so students are not to be
taken from regular classes for practicing for any event unless prior permission has been sought
and given.
Teachers are expected to maximize instructional time through integrating subjects outcomes
and planned activity/events [Covered classes might be used for any activity /event preparations,
but the responsible VP should be notified].
When taking students during their breaks, a special Pass with the teachers name should be
issued to participating students.
Any extra arrangements need to be discussed with VPs prior to any practices etc.
Particular arrangements will be made the SLT in the case of whole school events/celebrations.

[For more information, See ADEC Public School (P-12) September 2015\ Policy Number 8210:
Policy on Management of Student Behavior].
At Al Qemma, it is the responsibility of all members of staff to teach and model respectful behavior as
well as proper and positive attitudes. The staff will deal with children in accordance with the Teachings
and Philosophy of Islam by using respectful behavioral management.
Teachers should never use techniques that are humiliating or frightening, such as physical
punishment and/or verbal abuse.
All teachers are expected to actively participate in the implementation of the school wide Behavior
Management System [BMS] and students code of conduct.
In case of challenging behavior, parents must be kept informed about their childrens behavior
progress. Teachers are expected to maintain a Communication Log that reflects the behavior of
their students (positive and negative).
