Technology

In this activity the teacher will begin by


reading the students a fiction story book.
Once the teacher finishes, the students
are going to be required to write a story of
their own, similar to the story that was
read in class. The students will begin by
planning their story out first in their
writing journal. They will then bring their
plan up to the teacher so the teacher can
go over and make sure that it is good.
After that they will proceed to write the
story. When they are all finished and
ready to move on, they will grab one of
the ipads in the classroom, they will use
the app called sock puppet, this is a free
app already downloaded onto the devices.
They will be able to create their own
animation of sock puppets and put
narration over it. The students will set the
scene for what they want to write about
with
the various
scenes the app allows

In this activity, the teacher is going to


break up the students into groups of 2 or
3. Together they are going to create a
project on a topic of their choice that is
approved by the teacher before-hand.
From there they are going to create a
project together. They are going to
collaborate on the app at home and in the
classroom. The students can access this
app through their smart phone, or any
apple device. If they do not have on they
could use their parents, and if they do not
have one they could go onto the internet
and interact that way. But the students
will need to communicate outside of class
and that will be done through slack. This
allows students to drag and dropped their
own documents, in addition to this they
can communicate with each other through
the chat feature. When they finish their
project
