meaningsthatcanbeextraordinaryandlifechanging;anexampleofthisisthewordlove.Love
derivesfromtheLatinwordslubetandlubudo,meaningitispleasinganddesirable.Loveisan
intensefeelingofdeepaffection,andisdefinedasTohaveorfeelgreataffection,fondness,or
regardfortowardsapersonorathingpersonifiedbytheOxfordEnglishDictionary.Thisword
datesbacktotheearliestEnglishwritingsinthe8thcentury.Althoughthewordhasbeenaround
forcenturies,themeaningcontinuestostaythesame.Therearevarioustypesoflove:Eros,
Philia,Ludus,Agape,andPragmaLove.Lovecanbedefinedinmanydifferentways,becauseit
isthemostpowerfulactionthatanyhumancanfeelordo.

haveahandfuloftruegenuinefriends.Friendsmakesituationseasier,becauserealfriendshave
therightintentionsandtrulycare.AnothertypeofPhiliaLove,isStorgeLove,whichisthelove
betweenparentsandtheirchildren.Thisloveisstrong,becauseparentsandchildrenloveeach
otherbeforetheytrulygettoknowoneother.ItisthetrustinGod,andtheinnateaffectiongod
putsbetweenachildandtheirparents.
LudasLoveisconsideredtobeplayfullove.Thisislovethattakesplacebetween
childrenoryounglovers.Thisiswhenpeopleflirt,andteasewitheachotherintheearlypartsof
arelationship.Itislovethatpeoplelookforwardtointhehoneymoonstageofarelationship.
AnotherexampleofLudasLove,iswhenpeoplegoouttoabarorclubandlaughordancewith
people.Dancingwithstrangersistheultimateludicactivity,becauseitisanalternativeforsex.

ismadewithsometypeofloveitbeingselflove,friendlove,playfullove,orromanticlove.
