quality instruc onal prac ce. Teachers in these schools design rigorous instruc on that ensures the development
of cri cal-thinking, applica on, and problem-solving skills o en neglected in tradi onal se ngs.
Although last years goal was to improve lesson plan design, the primary beneciary of this
emphasis was manifested most frequently in Seminar classes. Our goal this year will be to transfer that design
format into each classroom/course lesson.

Instructional staff will

produce purposefully
designed lessons for each
of their courses that 1)
are tied to a specific
Standard, including 2) the
Common Instructional
Framework, 3)
Read/Write/Think/Talk,
4) multiple formative
assessments, and 5) a daily
teacher reflection.
