Before I had met for my group conference, I was thinking that my topic

would be a good topic but that it was a little broad. I had several directions
about where I could go but was not sure about which direction I should take.
My thoughts about my topic have changed a bit. The group conference gave
me more direction about what I should do with my paper. The conference
section gave me a better topic question for me to focus on. This question is
what is the impact of solar energy on the existing US power grid? I am
trying to figure out what the increased use of solar energy will do to the US
power grid.
The library instruction classes have help tremendously for my research
on the IP. Yes, I feel confident moving forward with my research. This is
because during the library class I had learned how to access LSUs database
to acquire research for my paper. My next step for the IP is to sit down and
write a rough draft of it. Once I have this rough draft I will go back into it and
start adding all my quotes and other information that I need to help make it
a strong inquiry paper.
