Following the path of

righteousness
Christmas message from
Mr Kirit Patel, chairman
and CEO of Motibhai
Group of Companies
Its again that time of the year
when we look forward to and
psych up for the celebrations of
the festive season. Christmas is
not only important to Christians;
it is also a time when those of
many different faiths come together to celebrate joy and unity.
Christmas is a time of fellowship
and merry-making with family members, workmates and
friends. This great national celebration brings us together around
a simple and inspiring message,
to love one another, our nation
and our workplace as we love
ourselves.
Christmas should also be a
time to make new friends and
mend broken relationships, to be
accommodating and to forgive
one another. It is also a good time
to reflect on what has transpired,
learn from shortfalls and make
commitments to do better or be
a better person not only at your
workplace but in your own community as well.
Jesus was born in very humble surroundings. But from that
humble beginning, He overcame
all the obstacles to live an inspiring life - giving direction, hope,

peace and joy to all the people He

encountered.
The Christmas message reminds us that service to others is
central to our lives and that sacrifice and unconditional love must
guide us and inspire us to lead
lives of compassion, mercy and
justice.
The true spirit of Christmas
reflects a dedication to helping
those in need, and to giving hope
to those in despair.
Let this Christmas be a time
to celebrate a new birth in each

one of us, by making concerted

efforts to renew our faith in God,
in ourselves, in our families and
in our friends. It is a message that
we can all aspire to live out in our
daily lives.
May the joy and peace of the
festive season be with every citizen. My fellow directors, executives and management join me in
wishing you and your family the
very best for Christmas and may
the coming year be fruitful, bringing happiness, prosperity and
continued good health.

The King turns one !

November was an important month for Burger King in Fiji as the popular hamburger chain observed its first anniversary. Burger
King started the Fiji operations with the Airside outlet which opened up for business at the Nadi International Airport Departures
Lounge on November 16, 2015. Burger King general manager Akash Narsey shared his thoughts on the anniversary and plans
ahead for the Fiji operations with INBOX ....

We are happy to have completed our first year of BURGER

KING operations in Fiji, Narsey
said.
As we are still very much in
the beginning of our journey and
are excited with our future here in
Fiji, we have a young and dedicated team which is eager to grow
the business and take it to even
greater heights, Narsey added.
Challenges
Operating any new business
has its various challenges while
running an international fast
food franchise such as BURGER
KING has even more challenges!
Being new in the business, we
had to make many assumptions of

how our business would run and

we had to do a lot of learning on
the job once we opened our Air-

side restaurant.
As we learnt, we started to
get a better understanding on

what our customers want and we

look forward to fine tuning our
business to be the best Fast-Food
restaurant here in Fiji.
Future
The response that we have
received so far since our opening has been very positive which
has spurred us on to open more
sites in future including another
BURGER KING restaurant at the
airport which will be accessible
to the general public.
We are also planning to open
two new restaurants in the greater
Suva area by the end of 2017,
Mr Narsey informed.

Exporter acknowledges support from Motibhai Group

People who never forget those they get help from when they are in
their humble days really go a very long way in life and business.
In a recent interview with Fiji TVs Talk Business show, Fijis leading fresh fruits and vegetables exporter Anil Kumar of Mahens Export
revealed how the executives of Motibhai Group helped him establish
his business in the initial days.
With the initial assistance from Motibhai Group, today Mahens
Export is one of Fijis leading exporters and is based in Sigatokas Valley Road which is often referred to as the Salad Bowl of Fiji.
A member of the Motibhai family was selling vegetables in Canada so the Group promoted me in Canada and financially helped me
to export over my first batch of vegetables, Mr Kumar told Fiji TV.

quarantine department in Suva and even paid for the first airfreight,

My company started with exporting 500kg of vegetables to Cana- to start my own business and employ so many people as well.

The Nadi Finance team (pictured) hosted MCL Suva for their clash
of titles at Nadi Sangam Primary School on Saturday, November 19.
The Jetsetters had a jittery start and due to a blunder in their defense, it was on the fifth minute of play when Suva striker Ronil Kumar
sneaked past Nadi goalkeeper Ronald Singh to score the opening goal,
giving MCL Suva a lead in the first spell.
In the second spell, Nadi had other ideas and in just five seconds,
they bounced back when striker Samuela drove a power full shot from
the centre to shake the net of the Suva goalmouth.
Since then, Suva strikers tried many times to break the deadlock but
the Nadi defense stood like a brick wall and goal keeper Ronald Singh
made some brilliant saves, denying Suva attackers any further goals.
Both the teams managed to score only one goal from many scoring
chances at their disposal.
Amongst the spectators was Motibhai Group CEO and chairman
Kirit Patel who was pleased with the results and the skills displayed
