Water absorption by filter paper shows how gills can absorb O2
Experiment
Method
1) Cut 30 pieces of filter paper, approx 5 cm long, 2 cm wide
2) Put a tooth pick through the top of 2 of them so they are suspended in air.

3) Make sure the scales are on ZERO

4) Weigh them.
5) Write down the weight.
6) Fill a beaker with water.
7) Place the paper in the water so it is absorbed.
8) Make sure the scales are on ZERO
9) Re-weigh.
10) Write down the new weight.
11) Do the same for 4,6,8,10 pieces of paper.
12) Write your results in a table.
