Number of approved PG Seats (ENT) for the current year 2016 is six (6)
Additional teaching faculty for UG & PG teaching is required in the department of ENT due
to following reasons :
1. The number of cases coming to the ENT OPD (including two rooms in CGHS Wing)
has increased by more than 50% ie 400/day to 700- 800/day.
2. Existing faculty has to visit 4 times/week to Parliament House Annexe and once a
week to Supreme Court.
3. The faculty has to do Andaman duty for 3 month by rotation.
4. The number of VMMC under graduated students is likely to increase from 150 in
future.
In view of above, the applications of the following GDMOS with PG degree are
forwarded for appropriate equated teaching designation for better patient care
and teaching activities of the VMMC under graduate and post graduate students in
the department of ENT.

Sub: Regarding Ragging in ENT Department.
In reference to the copy of the Gmail to Principal VMMC & SJH hospital New Delhi
from anti ragging helpline, all the 1st year PG Residents were called and asked for
any problems they had regarding duties and work in the Department. The 1st year PG
did not have any problem regarding the duties. However they were counselled that
they would come forward and tell out any problems if they have, to their seniors
(faculty).
Dr. N.N Mathur Unit II In charge clarified that the 1st year PGs of Unit II have denied
having any problem concerning their duty hours and have denied having made any
such complaint. However the matter is discussed and any alternative method of
emergency duty roster is being looked into where two 1st year PGs are on 12 hours
duty each as 1st on call.
