Context of the lesson (what happened this week/yesterday)
The students had done some work on character, setting, the problem and solution. They had done some drawing
of characters prior.
My Aim: (what am I trying to do better in my teaching?)
Amal To help students in their groups on individual work
Fatema - To help students in their groups on individual work

Teaching goal: (refer to ADEC documents)

The students had their imagination activated to draw characters and create their own story. We attempted to
show the students the aspects of a story and then they applied tis knowledge.

Learning objectives (Students will be able to/WALT):

All students were able to identify the character, setting, actions and problem and draw the three plot parts of a
story. Some students were able to further identify characters using color. Some students arranged the elements
of the story sequentially.

Assumptions about prior learning

Students could draw the elements of a story but not write it in words.
Possible problems and solutions
Student would not be able to understand or draw the different aspects of the story. Some girls are very quiet
and it is difficult to get them to share and talk about their work.

Feedback - The lesson was quite well executed. It started well. The student teacher engaged well
with the students. The activities were suited to the students. A little more differentiation could
have been planned for. Try to circulate a little more around students during the core activities.
