Lawlessness is one of the most significant word not just worldwide but mostly
in the Philippines. There are some points that Anarchy and Lawlessness could be the
same and some are not. Lawlessness deals with a society NOT regulated by or based
on law decree or measure at a certain point while the Anarchy is the completeness of
lawlessness because of the total absence of governance or code (Merriam Webster).
Lawlessness is just part of anarchy. In summation to that in the world that we are
moving right now is dealing with the vacancy of law that lead other people to think
about rule and demand for their better lives and that is terrorism. Terrorism draw
attention so that they create a great threat to people that theyre more powerful from
others. Rebels, known members of terrorism supervene the anarchy governance type,
because of their place where government dont exist. By their essence, those words
are still functioning. The word anarchy is existing because terrorism is also present, it
is like the word defines the other word. Additional key point, when we say world
anarchy, its not just the rebels we define but the domination, giving them the power
to manipulate the whole system of the society. In other words, anarchy mirrors
terrorism, and reflects domination.
One of the Philippines prevalent act of terrorism is the Davao bombing
incident that happened in Roxas Night Market. Where our president declared a state
of lawlessness. It is the second time where Davao was implemented since 2003 where
former President Arroyo bruited it and was only limited to Davao City. In
entertainment world the movie The Purge: Anarchy reflects the act of absence of
government, where it focus on the story of government is remain unavailable due to
the economic collapse and they began to come up the idea of The Purge which arise
every twelve hours that every crime is legal. Another example of government disorder
is the Fallen 44 or The Mamasapano Clash where the police operation was
unsuccessful against of the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) and the
Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) were those police assigned was to capture and
kill the Malaysian terrorist Zulkifli Abdhir but those policemen were designated on
the captivation but due to lack of equipments and the proper order that leads fortyfour policemen death. Their primordial legation is to serve arrest warrants for highranking terrorist. This is a fall to the family of this people who have died capturing

some high-ranks terrorist. Where the Aquino government doesn't bargain ample
justice for them.
According to Shantz and Williams (2013), Anarchy may be seen as positive
deviance. We can refer anarchism to positive deviance due to primarily, anarchism is
innovation, it is a voluntary action whose objective is to have progress in such a way
that it finds an alternative method of self-governance. Anarchism may be seen as fair
to all individual for it usually lacks hierarchy of social strata and status, every people
is capable of governing himself. We can say that anarchy promotes equality among
the members of society. There are no authorities that prohibits you to get whatever
you want. Anarchy hates capitalism. It cuts the gap between the rich and the poor and
does not label the person according to his wealth and honor, rather it calls all
individuals as member of its society. Inequality between individuals can be considered
as the roots of anarchy, while the elites, government and the influential personalities
are making their gap further between the lower class people, thus dominating them
economically and politically, they are also slowly igniting the fire to make the mass
overthrow them. However, despite the innovation goals of anarchism, it is still
considered informal deviance for it violated the laws.
Anarchy theoretically, is the subordination of the individual to the good of all
which is demanded; practically, it is the subordination that leads to a collective,
egoismpolitical, military economicwhich seeks to satisfy certain collective aims
and ambitions (Hennacy, Larkin, Cunningham and Havel et. al 2014) Even if its for
the good of all it still causes a deviant act. This anarchy causes the freedom of
individual might be the way of their way of rebellion because people would always
want more. Thus, this terrorism where terrorist follows no government and it is
unauthorised use of violence and intimidation in the pursuit of political aims(Oxford
English Dictionary) that causes chaos and disarray. The solution to avoid anarchism or
rebellion of people is really hard to achieve and solution to terrorism is untouchable.
Thus the most instant solution is make our government more efficient and stable in
order to withstand this problem.
