Strengths of the lesson:

Haifa is pleasant, enthusiastic and energetic whilst introducing the lesson: great start!

Although she makes a few grammar errors, Haifas spoken English is quite good! She
comes across as being very comfortable addressing the students in English.

She manages all transitions (eg. from desk area to the carpet area) very methodically
and efficiently.

I was very surprised at how well Haifa knows the students names and how she clearly
remembers to which groups they belong to! This helps her use the behavioral
management system very effectively!

Haifa has created excellent and appropriate resources for this lesson (her MST asserts
that Haifa has brought in many fantastic resources!).

When questioning students, Haifa often asks them why?. This is excellent for
developing their thinking skills and their language skills! She also summarizes the
main ideas and asks students to repeat key words/sentences. As such, Haifa
demonstrates a sound understanding of basic principles related to teaching and
learning.

Haifa solicits different students to answer questions; even the ones sitting further in
the back or on the sides. Haifa is conscious of involving the whole class in the lesson.
Great!

Haifa is extremely well prepared and organized for this lesson. Her time management
is very good (she is often checking her watch!), and so is her management of students
and resources. She makes excellent use of the whiteboard (where she makes attractive
and effective drawings)!

Haifa gives clear instructions during this lesson.

Not only is her questioning varied, but so are the teaching & learning strategies that
she has selected.

Haifa uses body language to draw her students attention. Good!

She uses the bell as a warning signal and ensures that clean up is being done well by
all students.

Throughout the lesson, she reminds students to speak in English.

During independent work, she circulates appropriately, monitoring and supporting

students. She also encourages them to work collaboratively.

Haifa is also very patient with her students, and she is very intuitive (ie. she knows
