2016-2017 School Year


December 2016- Finish Masters in education
June 2017 - Finish first year (BTSA) Induction Program
The SDCOE BTSA Induction Program is based on successful demonstration of progress
towards mastery of the CSTP. California Standards for the Teaching Profession (CSTP)
(focus on equity, English learners and special populations is reflected in the CSTP)
Through Action Research, you will demonstrate your growth, ability to reflect, and
successful execution of the CSTP.
June 2017 - APUSH 4 Day AP Training - AP By the Sea
The new APUSH course consists of 9 periods, 7 themes and 4 historical thinking skills
(broken into 9 sub categories). At the end of the APSI, participants will have a thorough
understanding of the redesign of the AP U.S. History course and exam. Participants will
have time to work on their syllabus and class-pacing guide. Participants will write
multiple-choice questions for a test bank to have at the end of the APSI.

2017-2018 School Year


June 2018 - Finish second year (BTSA) Induction Program- Clear Credential
July 2018- AP Psychology 4 Day AP training AP By the Sea
This course is designed for AP Psychology educators who are just beginning the exciting
adventure of teaching AP Psychology or have a level of experience. A special focus will
be to introduce interactive learning skills that will assist teachers in presentation of the
content required for student success. Topics will be drawn from the College Board
Acorn book with particular focus on changes in content requirements, strategies for
multiple-choice questions and for skills for successful writing of free-responses as
required on the AP Psychology Exam.
2019 2020 School Year
June 2019 - AP World 4 Day AP training AP By the Sea
Focus on historical thinking skills and historical processes help to make this intimidating
task much more manageable. Therefore, our time together will focus on the management
of the timeline and the development of skills. Well discuss format, pace, class
requirements, and day-to-day structures. In addition, well talk about the three major
areas of concern in any social science class (reading, writing, and thin king) and the
development of skills and strategies that will help teachers meet students needs. Finally,
well look at past World History AP Exams, analyzing the multiple-choice and essay
portions, in order to best organize our class and course around successful teaching and
learning.
2020- 2021 School Year
September June - Classical Academy Leadership Training
Beginning in 2011, the Classical Academies developed a Leadership Institute to train and
inspire employees to lead teams, discover their gifts, and take an active role in school
programming and management. The goal of the Institute is to leave a legacy of people
with vision, passion, and leadership ability to move the organization forward in achieving
its mission of partnering with parents to inspire exceptional thinkers, communicators, and
achievers.
2021- 2022 School Year
September June - Classical Academy Principals Practicum
Each Practicum Principal should aim to understand the role and responsibilities of the
Supervising Principal (Site Leader) during the Principals Practicum experience.

Start Masters of Arts In Educational Administration
The program is designed as a professional degree in which a cohort of rising K-12 school
and postsecondary administrators develop advanced leadership and research skills related
to their own institutional settings
