Everyone wants to be an expert, right? No one likes being an amateur. I know that I dont.
However, this quote seems to go against the mindset of society. Perhaps becoming an expert in
your field of study leaves little else to discover. It is like an explorer that has already explored
every corner of the world who has nowhere else to explore. So, is being an amateur really
something to be proud of? Are my ideas more creative? Should my goal in life be to never
become an expert at anything? Is that what the greatest thinkers in history strove to do? I suppose
that would be a very interesting way to live.
