STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

The main aim of the study is to determine the prevalence of the use of antibiotics
for self-medication among mothers of families under the municipality of Ditsaan Ramain,
Lanao del Sur and the relationship between factors causing self-medication with
antibiotics and the extent of self-medication practice. Specifically, it aims to answer the
following:
1. What are the socioeconomic factors that cause self-medication in terms of age,
educational attainment, type of employment, monthly family income?
