MANAGEMENT FRAMEWORK
Overall Time - 71 minutes
Time Frame 10 minute verb, regular and irregular, subject agreement, and tenses.
5 minutes for examples
2 minutes to form into groups
2 minutes to give directions

2 minutes for iPads to start and open iMovie app (Tech. 1)


20 minutes to plan and make a short Verb Video
20 minutes to watch all Verb Videos as a class on SmartBoard. (Tech. 2)
10 minutes to click and fill out the online questionnaire on verb tenses,
agreement, and regular/irregular verbs. (Tech. 3)
STRATEGIES
Teacher led instruction, Independent/group practice, project/inquiry learning.

DIFFERENTIATED INSTRUCTION/ ADAPTATIONS/ INTERVENTIONS


Visual learners these students will benefit from watching each others verb videos.
Auditory learners these students will benefit from listening to the videos.
Tactile learners these students will benefit from making the videos and taking the
questionnaire.
Special Needs Options: - these students will benefit from help from an adult and working
in groups for the video.
PROCEDURES
Introduction/ Lesson Set
To begin, the students will sit on the carpet for the verb lecture. This contains all parts of
verbs.

Body & Transitions


The students will give examples of each point of discussion by writing them and
checking as they go.
Next, the students will break off into groups of two to use the iPad app iMovie.
The students will then make short videos of them or an object performing a Verb.
Ex. Jumping, ball rolling, etc.
The students will send the movies to the teacher for all of the students to watch and
explain the verbs in the video in the correct tenses.
Closure The students will go to their seats for a questionnaire the teacher created. (Quiz
and how comfortable they feel using verbs.)
ASSESSMENT
Diagnostic: Students will be given a lecture on verb and all components. (all objectives)
Formative: The students will make short videos and explain the use of verbs (in the correct
tense) in the works. (Objective 1 and 4)
Summative: The students will demonstrate their knowledge and comfort by taking the
questionnaire. (all objectives)

EXTENTED ACTIVITIES If Student Finishes Early


If students finish early in class they may play games on verbs.
If Lesson Finishes Early
If the lesson finishes early, the students will start on the next part of speech.
If Technology Fails
If technology fails, the students will perform instead of making videos explaining the verbs
used in the correct tense.
