UALE 1023/MPU 32023 ENGLISH FOR BUSINESS

You and your colleagues have been assigned to produce the next issue of your company newsletter.
The newsletter is published quarterly to keep stakeholders updated regarding the recent happenings
in your company. In a group of 5-6 persons, write a newsletter covering various topics of your
choice. It should also be well-organized with main / sub-headings depending on the topic of the
discussions. Invent the necessary details and include additional information or visual elements that
are relevant. The newsletter should be submitted by Week 4, Friday (11th November 2016).
It is advised that your newsletter should cover three main sections:
i) Introduction
An introduction of your company.
- Brief history; mission, vision, etc.
ii) A Word from the Editor
Introduction of the current newsletter
- Overview of the contents and any other comments.
iii) Body
A collection of write-ups related to your company:
(a) Future Events (2 Events)
(b) Present Event (1 Event)
(c) Past Events (2 Events)
*The length of the write-up must be around 500-600 words per event.
E.g.:
Annual financial report
Promotion or retirement of staff
Introduction or review of new products
Interesting events (teambuilding, annual dinner etc.)

Please do create your own company, logo and other necessary details. You are not
allowed to use existing companies logo and details.
The format of the newsletter is up to the students creativity.
Presentation on the newsletter will be held on week 6 and week 7.
