Reflection

First, I want to disclose my greatest thanks to all that involved directly or

indirectly to make sure that this assignment can be finished on time. This task is
conduct individually and I was briefed about this task by the course lecturer, Puan
Azizah Binti Abdul Kadir.
I admit that during carry out this task, there are some problems that I need to
face. One of them is the difficulty to search for journal for certain topics and I choose to
use an article that I search in the internet. Fortunately I have put all my effort to make
sure this task is completed.. From this task, a lot of new things and useful knowledge I
have gained indirectly.
From this assignment I was learn that A summary is condensed version of a larger reading.
A summary is not a rewrite of the original piece and does not have to be long nor should it be
long. To write a summary, I must use my own words to express briefly the main idea and
relevant details of the piece i have read. I purpose in writing the summary to give the basic
ideas of the original reading. What was it about and what did the author want to communicate?

While reading the original work, I must take a note of what or who is the focus and ask
the usual questions that reporters use: Who? What? When? Where? Why? How?
Using these questions to examine what I read that can help me to write the summary.
Sometimes, the central idea of the piece is stated in the introduction or first paragraph,
and the supporting ideas of this central idea are presented one by one in the following
paragraphs. So, I must always read the introductory paragraph thoughtfully and look for
a thesis statement. Finding the thesis statement is like finding a key to a locked door.
Frequently, however, the thesis, or central idea, is implied or suggested. Thus, I will
have to work harder to figure out what the author wants readers to understand. I can
use any hints that may shed light on the meaning of the piece: pay attention to the title
and any headings and to the opening and closing lines of paragraphs.

Experiential learning carries with it the potential pitfall that unhelpful norms can be
perpetuated through a process of socialisation. Students and teachers therefore need to
be aware of the dangers of over-acceptance and retain an openness and questioning of
goals and behaviour, not just slavishly follow custom and practice.

I also known that language are natural forms of communication. We cannot
communicate efficiently if we do not master the essential principles of grammar or
syntax. Without grammar, it is genereally possible to communicate. I agree that
grammar is very useful for oral communication, as it ensure that speaker and listener
use the same code, but a poor command of grammar will not normally prevent two
people from communicating relatively effectively. Grammar knowledge is essential for all
and need to master it as English is a global language.
I hope that all the experience and knowledge that I have gained from this task
are can be use for the future. I really hope all my friends and I can used all this
knowledge when working as a teacher soon. Furthermore, I want to thanks all my
friends who have help me a lot in the making of this task. Thus, I want to thanks to all
those involved in this task making, who have help me a lot. Last but not least, Puan
Azizah Binti Abdul Kadir, WAJ 3103 English Languange Profenciency course lecturer for
guiding me throughout this assignment weeks.
As conclusion, summarizing is important to me as student an human being that live in

2. REFLECTION

I admit that during carry out this task, there are some problems that I need to face. One
of them is the difficulty to search for notes for certain topics. Fortunately, my classmates
and I have put all our effort to make sure this task is completed.. From this task, a lot of
new things and useful knowledge I have gained indirectly.
I am very happy to be in your lecture because you treat us like school children. We have
a lot of fun activities together such as singing, group activities and so much more. I was
never bored. You are very unique from other lecturers, especially when you came into
class and brong all four to five begs altogether. You bring your laptopm, I-Pad, hand
bag, files, and games into the class. I bet you will bring more things if you can. You are
a very open minded person, which make us feel free to throw all our ideas.
Furthermore, we learned a lot of new things that we have never tought before.
Hopefully, I can be a teacher just like you. You are my role model.
I hope that all the experience and knowledge that I have gained from this task are can
be use for the future. I really hope all my friends and I can used all this knowledge
when working as a teacher soon. Furthermore, I want to thanks all my friends who have
help me a lot in the making of this task. Thus, I want to thanks to all those involved in

3. REFLECTION
Some people may think that some tasks such as this assignment may be a
burden to them. Sometimes people also let this assignment as their responsibility to
make sure that the assignment must be completely done and must follow the guide line
and being sent on the dateline. This will show how they are really take care about their
responsibility towards the tasks. Ive got many things during the process on finishing this
assignment.
From my opinion, this assignment had taught me how to make a summary from
an article. Then, I also learned how to find a suitable article for being summarized and
also how to be a good reader. Its quite difficult to find the points from the whole article
cause I need to know which one is the main title and the thesis statements. For the
beginning i thought that it was really difficult but it was not really. Co-operation from
other friends are also needed because from the co-operation between us, we can get
more idea to make the summary to be shorter and perfect. We also became more
friendly and become closer to each other. There are a lot of benefits of being a cooperative person because everything that looks difficult will be a small thing that can be
easily being finished.
The conclusion is, anything that was very hard or difficult could be easy if we
always being co-operation with each other. We also need to be more concentrate on
everything on what we were focusing at.
