RedMarts fulfilment and technology platform has enabled a superior customer experience with the
largest grocery selection in Singapore from fresh produce to frozen foods available for delivery
quickly, within chosen two-hour delivery windows. The partnership will allow Lazada to benefit from
RedMarts strong fulfilment capabilities in Singapore. Furthermore, it will accelerate RedMarts
expansion into new product categories and the further enhancement of its service offering to
customers by leveraging Lazadas seller base, ecosystem of third-party service providers and
advanced technological resources.
This partnership will help us to increase the scale at which we are able to deliver our mission to
save our customers time and money for the important things in life. As a result of the complexity of
our core business, online groceries, we have built a market-leading logistics infrastructure. Through
this partnership, we can further scale our logistics and tech platform to extend our product
assortment and to offer an even more convenient service for our customers in Singapore. The
capital flexibility provided through this deal will go towards innovating to delight our customers,
said co-founder and CEO of RedMart, Roger Egan. We are partnering with Lazada to serve our
customers better.
As part of our growth strategy, we are always looking for ways to serve our customers better by
adding new product categories and improving our service offering. RedMarts strong management
team and their relentless focus on putting the customer first has resulted in customers loving them
in Singapore, Maximilian Bittner, CEO of Lazada Group, added.
Goldman Sachs (Asia) LLC acted as exclusive financial advisor to Lazada Group and Credit Suisse
(Singapore) Limited as exclusive financial advisor to RedMart.

SINGAPORE: Locally-based online grocery store RedMart has launched a new service on its website allowing independent sellers to list and sell their
products. Called RedMart Marketplace, it has already attracted more than 100 independent sellers offering about 5,000 food, grocery and household
products.
RedMart is also partnering with SPRING Singapore to help local small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) boost their e-commerce knowledge and
capabilities. Participating SMEs will be given an opportunity to be a seller on Marketplace and undergo a six-month business improvement programme.
They will be trained and mentored in all aspects of e-commerce including inventory management, pricing and marketing. This will be done through
consecutive trainings, performance review, data analytics review and one-to-one coaching sessions with the RedMart team.
The project with SPRING Singapore will run from Sep 1, 2015 to Aug 3, 2016 and through the collaboration, RedMart will mentor around 400 local
businesses. At the end of the programme, SMEs will be able to continue as a seller on RedMart Marketplace or set up their own e-commerce venture.
"It is very challenging for some SMEs to actually create their own websites and do their own logistics; they do not have the economies of scale like RedMart
does, said RedMart co-founder and CEO Roger Egan. So by joining our marketplace, they can have access to the traffic. We have a huge customer base,
we also have all the logistics and technology know-how."
Ms Kareen Lai of local SME Nuts About Butter said: "For small businesses like us, we really cannot afford to invest in delivery or logistics, so they help us
take care of that as well, which is great."
