Overview of School
Developing the Nation in achieving Vision 2020 and Beyond
The School of Architecture and Built Environment (SABE) aspires to produce graduates in the field of Geomatic, Architecture and
Quantity Surveying. The country requires more graduates who are qualified, creative, innovative, skillful and competent in the
development of the nation towards achieving Vision 2020.
SABE is committed in producing graduates who are employable and well regarded by the industry locally and globally. This school
produces professionals in various aspects of Architecture, Geomatic and Quantity Surveying.
The School of Architecture and Built Environment consists of three departments; namely the Department of Geomatic Engineering,
Department of Quantity Surveying and Department of Architecture.

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE (ARCHITECTURAL STUDIES)


The Bachelor of Science (Architectural Studies) programme equips students with relevant skills and architectural knowledge and
foundation that qualify them to fulfil the minimum requirements needed to become a professional architect. In addition, the
programme also exposes students to various fields in architecture available for the next level of studies.
Entry requirement
STPM
: 2 principles
A-Level
: 2 principles
UEC
: 5Bs
SAM/HSC
: TER/UIA of 60% in 5 subjects
Canadian Pre-U/CIMP
: Minimum average of 60% in 6 subjects
Diploma
: CGPA of 2.0 in the field of Architecture
Foundation/Matriculation
: CGPA of 2.0 in the field of Built Environment
Others
: Equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government
And:
Pass Arts subject in SPM or pass portfolio test for those without Arts subject
Drawing Test Requirements
Applicants are required to produce the following freehand drawings using only 2B pencil on A4 size drawing/sketch pad.
1. straight vertical, horizontal and diagonal lines with varying thickness (1 A4);
2. drawing of a still object for example a piece of furniture (1 A4);
3. drawing of a life object for example a human, an animal or plant (1 A4).

BACHELOR OF ARCHITECTURE
The Bachelor of Architecture programme provides students with technical knowledge, skills and grasp of architectural knowledge
needed to qualify them to proceed to LAM/PAM Part II from the LAM/PAM Part I qualification.
