AN AMERICAN NOD TO INDIAN INTERVENTION IN AFGHANISTAN?
Western Powers arbitrarily Partitioned and created several artificial nation-states in
order to dismantle the Islamic Empire of the Ottomans in Turkey. In the Indian subcontinent however, this Partition plans created an Islamic nation of Pakistan, mainly
because Britain was weary of a rising former Colony as a United India instead of two
mutually hostile entities one of which could balance out as an ally if India should go
over to Communist Block and affect the Cold War balance of forces. Jawaharlal Nehrus
communist leanings, craze for Soviet Union and its alarming Expansionism played no
small role in this decision to partition India and create Pakistan.
As soon as Islamists lost the Caliphate they formed the Muslim brotherhood shifting
their center from Istanbul to Cairo. Slowly the Neo- Ottomons too would start eroding
Secular edifice of Turkey and lay the ground for Islamisation of an aggressively Secular
Turkish politics, a pre-requisite to bring back the caliphate.
Throughout Cold War era, Pakistan just like Turkey, fully exploited this need of the
Western powers to serve as their buffer state against Communist expansionism.
All that while, Pakistan attempted to invade and grab Kashmir, wipe out Hindus by the
millions and ethnic cleanse its Eastern wing, but ultimately lost it altogether as
Bangladesh. But Pakistan did manage to position itself in the Arab world as the Front
line state of the Resurrecting Islamic Imperialism by claiming Kashmir from the infidel
occupation. Further, Pakistan exploited the faulty Foreign Policy of Reagan era to arm
and fund the Mujahadeens as Freedom fighters against Godless Soviet occupation of
Afghanistan.
Islamic Imperialism stepped in to fill the vacuum caused by the sudden Collapse of
Soviet Union and Communist bloc. Taliban moved in to take over Kabul from
Communists. A new era had begun that was imagined as Unipolar world of American
hegemony, but Islamists were indeed quietly fast Re-building the lost Empire of the
Ottoman Caliphate. Under the aegises of OIC the Islamic Imperialism was working
systematically towards the Caliphate, while Islamic expansionism was happening
insidiously with export of Wahabism, Salafism and ever more conflicts from Bosnia in
former Yugoslavia and Chechnya to all across North Africa and all the way to Indonesia.

One such theatre of conflict was the Korasan with Afghan Taliban and Jihad separatism
of Kashmir valley.
To cut this memorable long story short- the two most important miles stones in this
resurrection struggle of Islamic Imperialism were the acquisition of Nuclear weapons by
Pakistan and the Declaration of the Islamic State Caliphate by Islamist Erdogans Turkey.
The Islamic bomb cancelled out the Conventional Military advantages of India. The
nukes enabled Terrorist Sanctuaries within Pakistan keeping them safe from any
retaliatory invasions. First the Khalistanis and then kashmiri Jihadis could attack with
impunity from there or retire.
Western powers failed to see back then that this Expansionism of Islamic Imperialism
would equally be possible against them someday. So they cheered all this Jihadism as
Freedom struggle in Kashmir valley just like they backed Afghan Mujahadeen and
Taliban against Russian supported communist regime.
As world entered what it thought was a new Millennium of post cold war era of peace,
Islamists struck literally like a thunder bolt in 9/11 a Global War on terror had just
begun.
Once again, West failed to gauge this would be a long drawn out conflict or that this is
indeed a renewal of the millennial old so called clash of civilization between the Islamic
Caliphate and crusader Christian West.
The West still doesnt fully understand that this is a quest for Islam and its Domination
of the world.
Its Political Correctness is crippling its efforts to push it back even as Islamic Imperialists
keep steadily making advances making deep inroads into Western sphere with a Hijrah
or Demographic invasion of Europe.
However, one such strategic failure by West to understand their enemy, is now offering
India a golden opportunity to reunite the ancient Homeland- Akhand Bharat or Greater
India.
Pakistan was created forcibly against her wishes, through a Partition by a departing
British Imperialism.
It became a menace for the West by launching 9/11 from Afghan soil, using that as its
strategic depth and the Nuclear arsenal as the deterrent to provide sanctuary to Bin
laden. The Afghan intervention by Western Imperial alliance was unable to destroy
either the Taliban or stabilize their proxy regime.

Meanwhile the battle fatigued Western democracies decided to pull out from this mire.
The departure of Western Allied forces and American withdrawal of troops now concedes
the inevitable truth the need for India to reassert its cultural influence and geopolitical sphere in what was once an United and greater India- Akhand Bharat.
What are American Military Generals really hinting at?
Unlike Policy makers who are committed to No Boots on Ground as a Dogma, the Field
Commanders have always asserted the need for Boots on ground and advised against
both pre-mature withdrawals and retreats on face of enemys advances.
Perhaps not wanting to waste all the sacrifices of his men for nothing by the gradual
withdrawal of American forces, Commander General John Nicholson hinted at Indias
hesitation to fill up the vacuum instead of the ISIS-Taliban thus I can understand that
India has been Calibrated about this (Pakistans) concern. IU can only answer this from a
Military perspective and there we welcome the role India has been playing, particularly
in training thousands of Afghan soldiers
If India is already Training what else does the American Commander in chief would like
India to be doing?
Though he asks for more Mi 25 Helicopters and Repair facility and spares parts from
Russia- a shrewd observer can see what he is actually expecting India to do- move in
and take our place denying the ISIS- Taliban a Military vacuum.
It would be enormously nave not to miss the repeated mismatch between Commanders
on ground wanting Boots on Ground, and an administration that kept pulling the troops
out despite their strongest protests and warnings, and all their warnings horrifically
proved prophetic. The No Boots on Ground and Iraqi pullout and subsequent refusal for
ground intervention in Syria all lead to unprecedented bloodshed and calamitous results
of ISIS. The General clearly warns us that should be happening again to India and in this
region and hints subtly what the Military perspective sees should India be doing- do
more, come in, do not be afraid of Pakistan concerns, we welcome your Boots on
ground- set up Logistics and Repair facilities as a starter and keep increasing your
Military footprints in Afghanistan.
It is not just an invitation for training and supplies but subtly put a very pro-active
direct Military role that Political Correctness has thwarted the West and Indian policy
makers from agreeing to do- the political appeasement factor.

Note that even if India deploys and tries its Drones to gain experience fighting
insurgents there at this American Militarys invitation-what a wonderful historic
opportunity.
As Western Imperialism retreats, Islamic Imperialism keeps advancing
America has miscalculated the will of their enemy to stay and do battle- and the long
drawn Iraq invasion had caused battle fatigue. While American people no longer wanted
to send their boys and girls to fight in distant lands, as their will and resolve petered
out, Islamists resolve was swelling sky high at the sight of this quick retreat.
As liberals and Leftists were mesmerizing westerners to chant the mantra of No Boots
on Ground and troops withdrawal, Jihadists were pouring in by the thousands from the
very same West into these far off theatres of war to do Jihad with battle cries of AllahuAkbars.
Western Imperialism was in retreat everywhere, while Islamic Imperialism was
advancing.
The No- Boots on ground as a pillar of Obama administration was ensuring Islamist
advances. Without ground troops Islamists could not be checked or rolled back by their
allies no matter how much Training, money or weapons they sunk. Everywhere this
policy of Supportive Intervention was failing, be it Iraq or Syria or Afghanistan.
In Afghanistan the United States is finally left with few options- than admit defeat, as
Taliban under ISIS inspiration has the Western propped regime cornered and its visible
collapse is imminent.
Pakistans deceit was already exposed in this failed and costly Intervention by finding
Bin Ladens hide out in the military barracks of Islamabad. So Pakistan cannot be in any
seriousness asked to check their own proxy Islamist groups.
Finally, they had to concede that India alone could send some boots on the ground and
check them.
This is the historic opportunity for India. But failing to seize on this would be equally
disastrous for India just as it is for America and her Western allies.
We saw how the retreat of Western boots in Iraq was a calamity in Iraq and swiftly lead
to the formation of the Islamic State and caliphate.
We have seen how No Boots on ground greatly helped this advances by Islamists. We
also dont miss how Islamists who were on retreat when Western ground troops were on

ground but turned tables as soon as Boots withdrew- thanks to Liberal media frenzy and
misguiding of popular opinion exploiting Battle fatigue.
Finally we also are staring at how Islamists are now fighting the west in their home
ground- a total reversal of fortune.
All this would happen to India- if she doesnt send in the boots on ground- to
Afghanistan.
Putin and the Clash of Revivalist Imperialist power blocks- Clash of the Empires
Western powers did fail to recognize their historical foe of Islamic Imperialisms
resurrection, but they seldom miss the Ultra nationalist Putins ambitions that they see
as reviving Soviet Block.
Putin however never missed identifying them both- but he would rather like the West to
see Russia as part of the Western Power block, as Post-Communist and free market
economy, and a democracy fighting a common enemy in the Islamist Islamic State and
its Caliphate.
Putin also didnt fail to demonstrate the fallacy of No Boots on ground as a Military
doctrine.
In a blitzkrieg that awed the world, a massive air borne attack and direct Military
intervention, though with minimal boots of Military advisers on ground.
The pattern was similar- Assad regime formally invites his Military help at brink of
collapse.
After decimating the till then invincible ISIS Putin showed what a Western super-power
could do in a matter of few months if it only had the resolve to engage the Islamists
head on. In less than a year he had reversed the equation for Assad but suddenly
though partially pulled out. So why did Putin partially withdraw when they were
certainly winning?
We cannot understand this without acknowledging the different Imperialisms that are at
work, their mutual historic hostilities and concerns.
Putin knows that if Russia continued the engagement with ISIS and did all the dirty work
for the West, then the West will simply capitalize on the post- war period when ISIS has
been single handedly wiped out by Russia. Spared from the need to confront ISIS, the
West will be deploying its spared energies to corner Russia over the Crimea and
Ukranian conflict. Putin had therefore wisely chosen to let the West open its eyes to the

dangers of Islamic imperialism and rather wait till they ask Russia to join a common
front, as an equal western partner.
This is history repeating itself like adversary Stalin finally joining the Western Allied war
efforts.
This doesnt mean however Russia doesnt have her own Revivalist Imperial dreams of
recovering her lost Soviet sphere of influence. India must also therefore need not be
apologetic about criticism or outrage that is expected from a Pro-Islamist media against
this legitimate sphere of security and influence as Hindu Nationalist ambition of Akhand
Bharat. This is a matter of its survival more than any such romantic ambitions.
Similarly, Indian sphere of influence as well as immediate Security zone of concern
should be an Afghanistan on brink of collapse - where to let an ISIS inspired Taliban fully
take over in the post US withdrawal of boots, would be disastrous.
Why Kashmir? -ISIS seeks contiguous territory and conventional engagements
ISIS always fights conventional warfare though it is indeed a terrorist organization. ISIS
seeks a Caliphate and fights its wars to acquire territories that it could hold and be
annexed for the ever expanding caliphate- which is why Kashmir should be a very
important Vilayati or province that attracts the Jihadis from world over. The ISISs call for
arms to liberate Kashmir from the occupier infidels will resonate well with Islamists.
Kashmir also would apart from turning into a conventional theatre of war like Syria
would offer a Base or Al Qaeda to train and launch the Jihadis to reclaim rest of India
for Islam.
Once ISIS inspired Taliban that is advancing rapidly in Helmand province encircles Kabul
and the Afghan regime collapses, their next stop would be Srinagar and Jammu. There
would be nothing to stop them, especially since this Arab Springs Model of Uprising is
already at work.
First the crowds on the street pelting stones, then grenades, the snipers targeting Army
men, then the IEDs and Heavy weapons start pouring in, as hidden State actors take
sides in conflict and start supplying funds and weapons. A well funded Media campaign
by iconic anchors would justify this insurrection as liberation struggle against a Right
wing regime that is well known violator of human rights.
Before we know it, the Kashmir valley would be strewn with hot areas of military
engagements with heavily armed Islamist groups and battle hardened Militias that a
dumb but venomous media is already describing as Freedom fighters and heroes.

The swift takeover of Kabul by ISIS- Talibanis would boost morale and fuel recruitments
in Kashmir valley.
India would be fighting with its back against the wall deep within its territory, with a
hostile press that is already developing a narrative of Assad regime of Modi killing his
own people.
Pakistan has promptly called upon the Arab League to intervene- describing the events
on ground in Kashmir in a Syrian Arab Springs narrative.
The secretary general of Arab league Ahmed Aboul Gied was told by Pakistans envoy
on 11th August 2016 with all grimness the horrific Indian brutalities in Kashmir .
Sounding eerily like the vicious campaign against Assad, Pakistan informs the very same
Arabs that the current unrest is a spontaneous manifestation of continued and long
alienation and underscored that India has unleashed a reign of terror against the
innocent and defenseless citizens since the extra-judicial killings of Burhan Wani.
The Arab League is therefore asked to intervene and stop the bloodshed and
massacres and implement the UN Security Council resolutions. Pakistan also described
this Uprising as indigenous and not terrorism.
Even as ISIS Talibanis keep advancing towards Kabul and topple the shaky regime,
Pakistan is setting up the stage for the Syrian Uprising in Kashmir with the same wahabi
regimes and a helpful hostile Press.
Indian Government must seize this historic opportunity and acquire Strategic Depth of
Afghanistan
India must also move in militarily and acquire this Strategic depth before the ISIS begins
its ground offensive in Kashmir Valley.
If India waits or chooses to only provide only aid then if regime collapses, the ISIS
Taliban will continue their onward roll unlike former Talibanis, since it is now driven by
ISIS- so they would come and hammer you.
Anyone who waits for the enemy to come into his territory is not winning this war and
will simply lose badly.
This was why George W Bush kept chose to fight on their lands, inside their territory and
kept winning- unlike Barack Obama with his No Boots on Ground.

Since Obama and No Boots on ground doctrine- the West had rapidly begun to lose on
all the frontlines and Islamists have steadily advanced and have come to fight the West
right inside its Capitals and cities.
This should also happen to India.
The Maratha generals and Maharja Ranjit Singh knew about this imperative to send
Ground troops and keep the frontlines of engagements in Afghanistan. Our Indian
Generals also know this Strategic need to send boots on grounds.
In the history of a nation, such opportunities come once in centuries.To miss that
opportunity would be a perilous mistake.
Indian Army must engage the Islamist Jihadis in Afghanistan before they take over
Kabul. Before the ISIS arrives at Srinagar.
To pin any unrealistic hopes on Talks with committed Jihadi leaders of Valley like
Geelani, would only buy time for the advancing ISIS. Because the Jihadis are coming and
so is this war anyway.
To take the war to the enemys turf and territory alone could prevent the Syrian like
war from breaking out here in Kashmir.
