From PC world this PC comes installed with Windows 10, which is the latest
Operating System from Microsoft, improving on Windows 7 and 8.It comes
installed with an intel core i5 6500 ruining at 3.2 GHz making it both efficient
and powerful at the same time. The PC also comes installed with 8GB of DDR3
RAM which will allow for smooth and easy multitasking which business need
when running multiple applications. Due to the power of the system, software
such as Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Office will run without a trouble. The
PC also comes with a 500 GB Hard Drive which allows for loads of document
and software storage.

Monitor - Dell P2417H 24 (X3) 163.18 Inc. VAT

The monitor I have chosen is also coming from PC world. It runs at a native
1080p which is full HD giving the screen a crisp look when in use. Another
bonus of this monitor is its size, 24 inches. Which allows for larger sizes with
things like text and images in correlation with the resolution. This would
allow people who have trouble seeing to be able to see the screen a little
better. The larger screen also makes multitasking applications easier to track.

Graphical and Web design software package


Photoshop and Dreamweaver (x3)

I have chosen Both Photoshop and Dreamweaver (x3) from the Adobe website
which is the best place to buy Photoshop and Dreamweaver individually for
142.92 excluding VAT every month or 1.175.04 excluding VAT a year.
Choosing to pay the yearly one will save around 600, and for that reason I
am choosing the yearly method. I have decided on Dreamweaver and
Photoshop as they are the best on the market and have they have user
friendly GUIs. These software's are also some of the most popular and
professionally used on the market, which means that there are multiple
guides online should the employees need help with it. In addition to this,
Adobe also offer helpful guides.

Office Package Microsoft Office Home

For the office package I have gone with Microsoft Office Home and Business
which costs 189.99 as a one off payment which will end up saving more
money in the long run. Overall the company will have to pay 569.97 to buy
three licences which come with the full office package.

Printer/Scanner - Epson WorkForce WF7610DWF 129.99 (X2)

I have chosen a printer/scanner all in one which prints and scans up to A3. It
comes with WIFI and wired use, which allows for multiple users in the
company to print or scan with ease. This is one of the best I could find that
would print and scan up to A3 paper in colour which is why I am buying two as
it will be more efficient for the company when multiple employees are trying
to print or scan at once. The price may be a bit costly coming in at 259.98
for both stations, but from the reviews on multiple websites and amazons
customer feedback, Id say it is worth the price.

Webcam - Logitech C920 HD Pro 59.99 (x3)

The webcam I have settled on is the Logitech C920 which displays in full
1080p HD and comes with an auto focus, giving the best quality at all times.
This webcam is the best seller on Amazon in the webcam department, and is
highly recommended by users. For three webcams the price will come in at
179.97 which is not bad considering there are far more expensive webcams
out there.

I will have around two adjustable desks for users who may be on a wheelchair or people

I am also selecting an easy to use high contrast keyboard as it will allow employees who

keys that have large black text on them which is why they are easier to read and use
compared to a standard keyboard. Additionally these keyboards do not cost much and

French/English Language Support


Software Babylon Pro - 121 (x3)

The translation software I have chosen is Babylon pro. This gives the user unlimited term translation
in 77 languages, so this can work with other languages than French if needed. It also features
unlimited full text translation. The software can also translate office documents whilst keeping
them in their original format. Additionally, the software comes packed with voice to text; allowing
the user to speak through a mic so that the software can translate it into text in a desired language
and with the world leading language dictionaries ensuring the most accurate translation.

The software is also the highest rated in many listings which is why I have opted to choose it.
Another reason for my choosing is that you can pay a relatively small upfront cost of 363 (for all 3
licenses) to buy the software forever, which will save the company lots of money in the long run
compared to renewing the software monthly or yearly. For example if the company was to but the
yearly subscription after two years they wouldve paid 414. This makes the one off payment the
best choice.

User Training

Employees will have to take training courses to use Photoshop and


Dreamweaver as these software can be hard to understand without some
prior knowledge or training.

Employees will also have to know how to use office, this includes Word and
PowerPoint. There are many training courses out there that the company can
send their employees on, one for example is the ECDL (European Computer
Driving Licence).

Future Expansion

As I have selected PC over a laptop, the company will be able to upgrade


internal components over time such as, the Hard Drive to allow more storage
space, the processor if they wanted to upgrade it to a more powerful one and
the RAM if they current amount just isnt cutting it.

They can also look into buying more monitors as the monitors I have chosen
can be rotated to portrait view, allowing more space with a multi-monitor
setup. Additionally this can help when employees are using design software as
they can have one main screen and one or two additional screens to the left
and right which help with multitasking.

Alternate Solution Workstation- Dell XPS 8900 243.28 (x3)| Monitor - Dell S2715H - 693.37 (x3)

The alterative to the original PC is the Dell XPS 8900. This PC costs 209
more, but has way more power and capability, as it comes with an i7 and 16gb
of ram which will allow for seamless multitasking and also features a s
graphics card which helps when using high end editing software. This is a
clear upgrade from the other PC and will last much longer in hardware terms.

For the monitor, I have gone with is the Dell S2715H, this monitor comes in
full HD and has some excellent reviews online. Whilst costing more than the
original monitor I selected it is yet again an upgrade in not just size but other
features such as the ultrafast 6ms response time and the ability to have a
clear view of the screen from multiple angles.

Alternate Graphical and Web Design


Software

For my alternate graphical editing software that I have chosen is called GIMP. This is
a free to use image editing software which features sophisticated editing tools that
allows for users to take advantage of. The main reason I would select this over
photoshop is that it is free and shares many similarities with Photoshop.

The alternative web design software I have selected is aptana and is a free open source
software built on java. It is supported by many operating systems including Windows
and shares many features with Dreamweaver including support for common web coding
languages. The main reason for choosing this over Dreamweaver is that is free and
share a few common features meaning it shouldnt be hard to use when compared to
Dreamweaver.

Alternate Solution Printer/Scanner HP Officejet 7612 (x2)

For the alternate printer/scanner I have opted to go with the HP Officejet


7621, this printer is an all-in-one which means it comes with printing,
scanning, photo copying and faxing capabilities, similar to my original choice,
but cheaper in comparison. I will be buying two of these like last time but it
will come to only 200. This station also features a WI-FI connection
capability allowing multiple employees to make use of it at the same time.

Alternate Solution Webcam - Lychee 1080P


HD Webcam (x3)

As an alternative to the previous webcam selected, I have gone with the


Lychee 1080P HD Webcam as it is far cheaper than the original webcam I
selected and also comes with a built in mic, which the other web cam I
selected did not, this puts the new webcam at an advantage as it has a 1080P
full HD resolution like the other one but comes in at 19.90; more than half
the price of the original product I selected.

Free Office 2016

The alternative office software I have selected is Free Office 2016. This is a
free alternative to Microsoft office. It features its own version of PowerPoint
and Word along with other applications that come with Microsoft office,
except its completely free to use which means the company wont have to
spend money on licences and renewing the software.

Alternate Solution - French/English


Support Software Ginger (x3)

For my alterative language support software I will be selecting Ginger. This is


a free to use language support software, which supports French to English.
Due to the software being free it makes it a better choice than my original
which was Babylon. Whilst Ginger doesnt cover as many languages as Babylon
does, it covers the ones needed by the company which is French and English
and saves money as no purchases are required.

Alternate Solution Accessibility for


Disabled Users

For my alternative disabled support I will be choosing a screen reading


software which helps people who are blind or poor of sight. The software I am
selecting is by nvaccsess and is named NVDA. This is a free to use software
that can be downloaded from their website. Due to the software being free it
will save the company money as they wont have to spend any money,
compared to my original choice of the high contrast keyboard.

My second choice is the optima joystick which can be used to help those who
have trouble using a mouse. It costs far more than my other choice but is very
beneficial when trying to control a computer mouse. Each one costs 208.79
and I recommend getting two just in case one breaks or there are two users
who have problems with mice.

Alternate solution Future Expansion

The company could look into buying graphics tablets for working with
graphical editing software as it will allow employees to make more precise
adjustments to their work. I recommend going with the WACOM Intuos Art Pen
& Touch 10" Graphics Tablet which can be found at PC world. They cost
around 130 for each tablet, but are very good for the price.
