Purpose
This manual describes how to modify/change a routing for inspection purposes.
Scope
This manual describes only to change an existing routing for incorporating inspection
operation and inspection characteristics. Details for creating a routing shall be referred in the
Production manual. Also, creation of QM specific basic data required for routing is explained in
separate manuals
Overview
Routing is a Task list for PP as Inspection Plan is for QM. A routing consists of one or more
operations in a sequence. One of these operations can be a Inspection operation. To this
inspection operation you have to assign inspection characteristics for which results have to be
recorded during inspection.
If the routing is for Feeder shops, maintain the routing for lot based inspection and if it is for
CT, CB etc modify the routing for Inspection point based inspection.
In the QM view of these materials inspection, type 03 should be activated.
Do not make any other changes to the routing which is not related to QM.
Event
Whenever a new routing is created, the planner will inform you to incorporate the inspection
characteristics in the routing which has been already created by him.

Depending upon your choice of either inspection Point or Dynamic modification level , your header screen and the
data to be maintained in the Operation detail screen differs.
If you choose, dynamic modification level, then you have to maintain data as explained in the manual Inspection Plan
(lot based result recording). So here we will detail only the modification of routing for inspection point based result
recording.
Now activate the indicator Inspection Point and press enter.
You get two more new fields below the indicator as shown next;
