Sampling Procedure

Purpose
This manual describes how to create a sampling procedure.
Scope
This manual describes the creation of a sampling procedure only.
Overview
The sampling procedure determines the sample size for the lot. These are QM basic data at
INABB level.
These sampling procedures are assigned to inspection plan and routings. In a sampling
procedure, the valuation mode and sampling type controls the rest of the other screens.
Follow the naming convention as explained in the manual.
Before changing or deleting a existing sampling procedure, remove the assignment from plans
and routings.
Event
Only when you want a new sampling procedure

Field

Description
Sampling
Enter an identifier for the sampling procedure. See note.
Procedure
Press Enter
Note:
These sampling procedure are at INABB level. So whenever you define a new sampling
procedure ensure that the first letter always start uniquely; e.g. N012 where N for Nashik. If
the plants within Nashik want to identify their own procedures, then use the description field
in the next screen. The same naming convention is applicable to Sampling scheme and
Dynamic modification rule also.

Press F4 and double click on the required sampling type. Based
on the combination of Sampling type/Valuation mode the
subsequent screens will slightly vary. For assignment of the
sampling procedure to a SPC inspection characteristic or a
routing with inspection points, you should choose only Fixed
Sample
Press F4 and double click on the required Valuation mode. Based
on the combination of Sampling type/Valuation mode the
subsequent screens will slightly vary.
If you want to use the sampling procedure in Routing with
inspection points then you should activate this indicator.
Activate this indicator if you want to block the usage of this
procedure in any plan/routing.

Press Continue.

Remarks
Press F4 and choose a inspection severity which will be used
when there is no dynamic modification rule assigned to the
procedure or when the No stage change indicator is set in the
procedure or you want to record result for a skip stage.
Press F4 and choose an AQL value(say, 1.5) which will be used to
determine the sampling instruction from the sampling scheme.

Depending upon this combination (i.e. sampling type and valuation mode) the subsequent
screen will slightly vary. However the process is the same.
