development of internal risk controls across the organization, measure their effectiveness, and recommend

5. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Strategy
Execute the functional strategy in line with the departmental strategy to ensure the achievement of
departmental objectives in due course, cost and quality.
Operating Plans, Budgets and Policies
Assist in the development of the departments annual business plan, KPIs and budget,
Policies and Procedures
Develop risk management policies and procedures in coordination with Quality & Assurance
Operations
Support Corporate Planning & Excellence in the setting of Clients Risk Management framework
Implement risk policies and guidelines for Clients staff, projects under construction, property under
operations and others
Lead the identification of all risks facing Client, support in developing mitigation plans, and monitor
their effectiveness

Compile the risk register of Organization and coordinate with all departments to identify and
mitigate risks
Assist in assessing the risks of all projects that Organization will undertake by potentially allocating
Risk resources to projects to identify risks, develop mitigation plans, and measure their
effectiveness
Assist Internal Audit in auditing risk management tools at Organization
Assist Management in developing Organizations risk management strategy and determining target
risk profile
Prepare quarterly and annual risk reports that would be presented to Organization Management
and subsequent Board-level committee
Guide the Risk Committee discussions and ensure transparency and alignment
Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to enhance performance and quality of work with
a view of stakeholders expectations.
Health, Safety & Environment
Follow all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and
controls to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality
products/services and a responsible environmental attitude.
The Specialist Risk Management reports to the Senior Manager Corporate Planning and
Excellence and confers with the latter on critical and strategic issues.
Key decisions having significant impact on the Risk Management function are referred to the Senior
Manager Corporate Planning and Excellence for approval before implementation.
The jobholder exercises financial authority as per the level established by the MSHEIREB
PROPERTIES management.
