Editor Says

Have you ever wondered what are the most common words uttered
by men, women and children in this country and even in this whole
wide world?
I think that the most common phrase would be I have no time.
Isnt common to catch ourselves saying, I have no time to go for a
run., I want to spend more time with my family but I just do not
have the time., It will be great to pray and spend time with God
but I am not sure if I have the time ?
I have no time prevents many of us to make time to pray, to put
our running shoes to exercise, to turn away from Facebook and
turn to our family members, etc. We need enormous courage to
face the horrible truth that I have no time is simply an excuse to
hide the reality that we do not regard doing something as our top
priority. No time can be loosely and conveniently used in order to
make us feel better and less guilty for not doing what we are
supposed to do.
Let us dare to change from I have no time to I do have time.
Yes, we will find ourselves with time when we start to prioritise what
truly matters in life.

Walking on Water- TRUST

Kelong Recollection organised by TGIF disciples
10th to 12th September
TGIF disciples organised a recollection for young working adults at Blue
Mountain kelong which is located at Riau islands, Indonesia. Below is a
sharing by Derek Sun, a participant of the recollection.

The walking on water retreat held by the Verbum Dei missionaries was the

first retreat I had ever gone for. In fact the last time I had gone for any
church activity was back when I was an altar server! In the past year or so I
have had this strange desire to return to being an active member in the
church and not just a Sunday Catholic. In recent months, this feeling
intensified due to a personal issue and the only being I felt I could count on
was God. Surprisingly enough, through it all faith was the only thing that
kept me going .The retreat to me was like the perfect icing on a cake, the
reflections and sharing we had were deeply centred around having faith
and trust in the Lord and personally, it was like an after action review
which I never would have thought about back home. Those 2 days spent
really brought me closer to God again. The disciples were really
inspiring and Im very glad I met them.
