I would like to tell you about the school where I study. The school is in Latvia.
I am in 9th form. I have been learned English for six years already. I find it very
difficult but I like it. There are twenty students in the my form. Ten girls and ten
boys. Girls are more diligent than boys but the boys are more smarter than the
girls. We are all have our exams this year and we are all worried. We have started to revising and it takes very much time. Now we can see that there are so
many gaps that have to be filled that of course we have feel worried. Our teacher
gives us many new words to be study and we try to learn them by heart. I even
have a my special notebook where I write out all the words that I have learned.
The thing is that it is more easier to learn nouns and verbs but it is much more
difficult to learn adverbs and adjectives, I dont not know why. My best friend has
always tells that swotting helps, but I do not agree with her because I consider to
swotting absolutely useless. One can remember the swotted words only for a while and after he or she learns new words he or she will forget the old ones. In my
opinion we need to use the new words what we have learned and then we will remember them without any difficulties. In last week for example I learned 20 new
words. Yesterday I have revised them and found out that I forgot 7 out of 20. I
think that it is not the best result in the world but it could be the worse, so I am
rather satisfied with myself. I revised them and I think that now I remember all of
them. So as soon as exams will come I will be ready for them.
