Robert Burke Reappointed Clinical Professor in Two Surgical Disciplines by


the Michigan State University, College of Osteopathic Medicine
Robert Burke, MD, FACS, reappointed Clinical Professor of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery
and Clinical Professor of Facial Plastic Surgery by the Michigan State University College of
Osteopathic Medicine.
Ann Arbor, MI, November 21, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Michigan State University, College of Osteopathic
Medicine announces the reappointment of Robert Burke, MD, FACS, as Clinical Professor of Plastic and
Reconstructive Surgery and Clinical Professor of Facial Plastic Surgery.
It is a great honor for me to serve on the faculty of the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic
Medicine in the department of surgery. This is one the finest programs of its kind in the world and, to be a
part of this amazing faculty, is a wonderful opportunity to learn and share knowledge, stated Dr. Robert
Burke, who is also the Director of the Michigan Center for Cosmetic Surgery in Ann Arbor.
Dr. Burke is an editorial board member of American Health and Beauty
(AmericanHealthandBeauty.com),an internationally recognized researcher, peer-reviewed author and
journal editor, as well as an accomplished and successful surgeon.
Most recently, Dr. Burke is principal researcher in the use of noninvasive lasers for pain control and in
the use of the Astanza laser system for tattoo removal. He is a researcher on FDA approved breast
implant studies for both Allergan and Mentor corporations.
A close working relationship with Astanza laser corporation helped expand the use of this multi
wavelength system for the removal of unwanted tattoos as well as other cosmetic surgery applications,"
says Dr. Burke.
Dr.Burke attended Michigan State University in the College of Human Medicine while serving as an
assistant clinical professor of anatomy. Currently, he serves as Treasurer of the American Academy of
Cosmetic Surgery and Trustee of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery. He received the Award of
Special Merit for his anatomy research.
Dr. Burke and his family live in Ann Arbor where they enjoy the nearby Matthaei botanical gardens,
sailing, mountain biking, and all University football and basketball games.
