Re: Registered Nurse Operating Room

I am writing to apply for the operating room position posted on the INOVA website
at INOVA Loudoun Hospital.

I will graduate from Shenandoah Universitys accelerated degree program in
December 2016 with a Bachelors degree in Nursing. I believe this program has set
me up to be a successful registered nurse. This program has provided with
excellence hands on patient experience at Winchester Medical Center, Warren
Memorial Hospital and Winchesters community. I am looking to perfect my nursing
skills and gain experience working and making a difference in your hospital.

I recently completed my preceptorship in the operating room at Warren Memorial
Hospital in Front Royal, Virginia. My time in the OR has given me first hand
experiences with numerous patient surgeries and procedures. In addition, I was
able to spend time with the patients and provide care during the pro-operative
stage, the procedure, and the post-operative stage. This has allowed me to have a
better understanding and vision of the surgical services as a whole.

While I was in school at Shenandoah University, I worked as a personal caregiver
through Home Instead Senior Care. Here, I worked independently in patients homes
and performed hands on personal care, while maintaining a professional friendship
and confidentiality of my patients. As an employed student, I learned to manage my
work and school schedules effectively to manage and excel in both.
