IMPEDIMENTS.

lbeit, Pakistans has witnessed several ups and downs in the past
decades and the crippling scourge of terrorism has more deepened and
intensified the much-troubled and beleaguered economy of Pakistan.
According to the analysis, Pakistans economy has suffered the loss of $ 118.3
billion during the last 14 years due to the war on terror. Undoubtedly, Pakistan is the
country with a great geographical location and endowed with spectacular deposits
of natural resources like coal, copper, iron, gas and many more but the poor and
inefficient management has always an organic cause and a recurrent hindrance to
wriggle out of the quagmire in which Pakistan has stuck. However, the dawn of
Pakistan china economic corridor has significantly changed the dimensions of a
fragile economy into the doors of endless opportunities.to be precise, the CPEC is
the first mega project in the economic history of Pakistan and this expedient and
benison project is believed to be a game changer because this enormous corridor of
$3 billion includes the construction of multiple network of highways throughout the
Pakistan which will enhance the trade and bilateral cooperation between the
Pakistan and china. Likewise, the CPEC can transform the course of Pakistans
economic zone. Verily, this corridor will put the Pakistan on the path of economic
stability which will bring political stability. To succeed in this initiative, Pakistan is
required to take effective and bold measures to wriggle out of the quagmire in
which Pakistan has been sunk. The existential political dissonance and soaring virus
of terrorism are the undaunted challenges which afflict the nation and blight the
infrastructure of state. To compound, the political disharmony can infringe and
shatter the dream of a consolidated and stable economy as the political
disintegration has always been a long-crippling conundrum in the way of Pakistan to
be a prosperous and great country .To be right, the protests led by PTI proved to be
against the nations interest because during the demonstrations shut down of shops
was seen wherein the protests were organized. In addition to this, the eruption of
the panama leaks has given a glimpse of the money that has been taken out of
Pakistan through illegal means and further it has undermined the government. In
point of fact, the issue of panama has created more discrepancies in the brittle ties
of opposition and government which has futher lured the PTI to expand its
demonstrations in the near future. Moreover, Pakistan bears a bleak picture of
terrorism which has played havoc with masses and has marred the tranquility and
prosperity at every nook and cranny of Pakistan but the recent terror attacks in
Quetta have terrorized the people by driving a sense of insecurity in the minds of
populace of Baluchistan. The first deadly attack on the civil hospital in which dozens
of lawyers were killed and nation was pushed into the state of lachrymose and soon
this vicious cycle was followed by another heart-wrenching tragedy in which three
terrorists stormed the police training academy and martyred more than 61 young
recruits and left dozens wounded. As a matter of fact, these two gruesome assaults
have raised several questions about the implementation and security of CPEC and
its forthcoming perspectives. Particularly, these terror acts have sparked many
concerns in the mind of Chinas administration about the chinese projects and
workers. Therefore, Pakistan is in the dire need to curb the menace of terrorism
otherwise it will curb the progress of Pakistan as it has been seen in the past few
decades. To recapitulate, CPEC seems to be a positive catalyst for the withering
economy of Pakistan which has remained amidst the problems due to bad
governance but now the watershed period has aroused in the shape of CPEC but if
government wants to succeed in this initiative then it needs to frame up a
comprehensive set of policies so as to eradicate the obnoxious problems and
befittingly benefit from the CPEC which will eventually bring prosperity and period of
heyday.
