The second principle of Pancasila

The meaning of humanity in the second principle is meaning: Humans are

placed in accordance with their dignity. This means that human beings
have the same degrees in front of the law.
The meaning of second principle Pancasila is unified. Therefore, the
principle just and civilized humanity is inspired and based on principle
believe in one God and the underlying of principle unity of Indonesia
because of this unity then just and civilized humanity is always contained
in the four of other principles. Then the second principle: just and civilized
humanity that one in God, and unity of Indonesia, led by the inner wisdom
of deliberations / representatives, as well as social justice for all
Indonesian people. Then the second principle contains ideals complete
humanity rooted in human nature.

and civilized as follows:
- Adil
Fair in relation to humanity that is fair to themselves, to fellow human
beings and to God.
- Civilized
Civilized its mean the validity of all the elements of human nature that is
the soul, mind, taste and desire.
Second principle contained humanistic values, there are:
The recognition of human dignity in all its human right that must be
respected by anyone.
Fair treatment of fellow human beings.
Definition of civilized human beings who have creativity, taste, intention
and faith, so its obvious difference with other creatures.
Presence of awareness attitude and human performance that is based on the
potential of the human conscience in relation to the norms and culture
generally. Potential of humanity are owned by all the people of the world
regardless of race, skin color, descent and as well as universal.
The Second Sila have the meaning as follows:
1. Acknowledge equality, equal rights, and equality of obligations between
fellow human beings. This clause requires that every human being has
dignity, so there should not harass another human being, or hinder other
humans to live decent lives, and honor belong or belonged (property, the
nature and character of) others

2. Love each other between society. The word love calls for an enormous
desire to obtain something and taste to have and if necessary sacrifices to
maintain it. Similarly with human feelings of love can intensify social
relations such as cooperation, mutual assistance and solidarity. With
compassion then also people will do sincere, mutual encouragement,
mutual truthfully and honestly, mutual respect, dignity and the degree of
each other.
3. Develop an attitude of tolerance. This attitude calls for effort and
determination of every human being Indonesia to appreciate and respect
the feelings of others. Should behave in both oral and deeds to others,
should be measured by ourselves; if we do not like being hurt, then we
should not hurt others. The attitude of tolerance also can be realized in
tolerance in religion.
4. Not arbitrarily towards others. Arbitrary means arbitrary, biased and
unbalanced. Therefore, this item will, every human behavior toward
people should not be arbitrary, should uphold the rights and obligations.
5. Uphold the humanity values. Every citizen must uphold and implement
human values well, such as:
- Acknowledging the existence of society is plural
- Consultations with the basic awareness and maturity to accept a
compromise
- Do something with moral considerations and religious requirements
- Do something with honest and healthy competition
- Paying attention to a decent life among fellow
- Cooperate in good faith and not cheating

Upholds freedom as the right of every nation. This precept contains the
principle of rejecting or away from one which is based on race and strive
inner and outer happiness (kebahagiaan lahir batin).

The strong and active justice and civilization are the goals of Indonesian
nation. Its mean the need streamlining and enforcement of strong law if
there are deviations. Justice must be realized in people's lives.

degree of law. The right to freedom and independence upheld with this
principle if any racial group in society, we should not be mutually exclusive
of each other alone. On the basis of community life Indonesian unity and
cohesion that if in connecting with the principles of humanity, then
rationalism must not exist, therefore, in Indonesia are expected to always
grow and develop outer and inner happiness. Justice and civilization that

that deviates from the norms and values that are applicable, appropriate
measures should be done.

The meaning symbol of the second principle of PANCASILA

On the Pancasila symbol, the second Sila just and civilized humanity is
represented by a chain. The chain consists of a round chain (representing
women) and square chain (symbolizing male). The chains that tied each
other symbolizes that the whole community of both female and male must
unite to be strong country.
Summary
The second Pancasila principles embodied values that the State must
uphold the dignity of the human being as civilized creatures. Therefore,
laws legislation must embodying the goal of human dignity especially of
human rights as human rights must be guaranteed in legislation.
Just and civilized humanity contains the value as well as the underlying
moral attitudes and behavior of human beings in relationship with cultural
norms and in general against ourselves, fellow, also the environment. The
values of the civilized humanity is the embodiment of human values as
being helpless, sentient, and useful.
