ALARM OUTPUT AND CONTROL BOARD IN KCM-II

This board supplies all alarm output and some control terminals for
customer to use (RefFigure 6)
1. 8 terminals use to connect the KCM-IIR remote meter box.
2. 2 terminals use to connect PC computer when want to transmit
the measuring data from KCM-II to it (should use a RS485/232
transducer and programmer according to the agreement of
KCM-II).
3. 2 terminals to connect auxiliary power.
4. 4 terminals to connect emergency stop button and indicator
from outside.
5. 26 terminals without power use for all the alarm signals to
connect out.
(The alarm relays contacts capability are AC 350V 5A DC 32V
1A.they are can be used to connect outer relay and indictor.)

THE FUNCTIONS OF KCM-IIR WITH KCM-II MAIN

METER TO USE
1. KCM-IIR can indicate same measuring reading and alarm with
KCM-II synchronous.
2. KCM-IIR works with KCM-II by date communication, that couldnt
to install any sensor.
3. Use the power switch can to control power ON or OFF and start
engine remotely.
4. Quit switch can cut off alarm sound.
5. Stop switch can stop engine remotely.
6. H.B/L.B switch can to select the display brightness of meters.

INSTALLATION REQUIRENTS FOR KCM-II

The KCM-II couldnt work at over limit for long time.
1. The work temperature 573
2. Humidity 95%
3. Vibration 39m/s
4. No more electromagnetic disturbance.
NOTE: If the meters reading are influenced by intense vibration
when engine is running, suggest the customer to take off box from
engine and hang up it.

PROTECTION TO ELECTROMAGNETIC DISTRUBANCE

KCM-II box has ability to protect electromagnetic disturbance, just
some requirements are needed when KCM-IIR works with it:
1. Should use a cable 81 with shield and connect an end of
shield to a screw of KCM-IIR.

2. If it works with computer should use twine wire cable with shield
and an end connect to a screw of KCM-II.
3. The connection cable of KCM-II and KCM-IIR couldnt array with
main power cable.
4. KCM-II and KCM-IIRs connection terminals Refdiagram.

OPERATION
1. Preset on panel
Put MP/AP power switch to Mpower side.
Protect ON/Protect OFF switch to ON position.
Remote start/start switch set start position.
2. Turn on power to check
When power is on, almost alarm lamps are flash about 1 second
for checking them .2 second after just voltage and hour meters
have reading.
Look at if any alarm lamp is lighted, otherwise to check.
3. Start engine
Push down starting button to crank engine, when its speed up
to 350r/min the controller will cut off the motors circuit. The
operator just take up hand.
4. Run engine
After engine is started, let it to run at IDLE speed 2
3minuts.
Make engine running at high speed.
When engine runs a time all meters will have readings.
NOTE: Only engine speed up to 800r/min, RUN lamp is lighted
and all alarms sets are activation.

5. Stop engine
Normality to stop engine just turn power switch to OFF.
At a urgent condition to shut down engine can use the Remote
Stop switch on KCM-IIR or Emergency Stop button some where
is installed it.
Engine will be stop when over speed or water temperature high
or oil pressure low alarm is happened.
At urgent condition if couldnt shut down the engine,
put the switch to protect OFF position.

NOTES FOR OPERATION

How to open and close the panel of box:
Push down the two bars on panel and turn 90 to inside by hands
to open. Otherwise push down bars and turn 90to outside close
the panel of box.
Dont turn ON and OFF the power switch frequently, have to 5
seconds to turn ON again after turn OFF, otherwise the
meters may be damaged.
Dont take in and off the connectors of engine wiring with power,
especially for 3P connector.
After test over speed alarm function with the button on main
control board, have to reset it before turn on power again.
