SPECIAL PENAL LAWS, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

3. Whenever the crime is accompanied by murder, homicide, physical injuries or rape.

1. The penalty of reclusion perpetua to death, when by reason or on occasion of the robbery, the crime of homicide shall
have been committed, or when the robbery shall have been accompanied by rape or intentional mutilation or arson.

Under the last clause of section 14 of the Anti-Carnapping Act of 1972 as amended by Section
20 of RA 7659, the penalty of revulsion perpetua to death shall be imposed when the owner or driver
of the vehicle is killed in the course of the commission of the carnapping or on the occasion thereof.
