Personal Writing Portfolio

Name: __________________
Class: __________________
Date: ___________________

Individually each student will create a personal writing portfolio. You must have at least four
different entries within your portfolio. You have the option to do more if you feel there is a
certain style that you are struggling with. Every writing style must be used at least once.
The content of the entries is completely up to you. I caution you to choose wisely because if the
content of the entry does not fit with the chosen style you will lose marks.
2 in-class work periods will be given for this assignment. All other work will have to be
completed either at lunch or after school.

Required elements for this project:

Minimum of 4 entries
One entry for each writing style - narrative, persuasive, expository and descriptive
Each entry must be labeled with the style of writing
