GRAMMAR TAKEOFF
Introduction
This is a grammar course for English young learners who are at taking initial steps
into the fascinating world of the English language. From this unit, learners develop a
wide variety of language skills through general knowledge of basic English grammar
and vocabulary as well as a wide range of songs and activities.

Reading skills: A number of reading strategies such as comprehension,


matching and recognizing sight words are designed to help young learners to
understand written texts as well as pick up important vocabulary items which
may come handy in their daily communication
Speaking skill: The students learn to use language functions to
o describe objects, people and the world around them
o discuss simple topics of their interests
Writing skill: The students learn to describe basic concepts related to their
interests, such as hobbies, animals, people, objects and places with improved
accuracy, which will assist their spoken communication.
Listening skill: The learners have opportunities to listen to recognize common
vocab in their spoken forms and acquire the correct pronunciation of these
words.

This unit brings students with a variety of English language skills in 24 topics, which will be
covered in 15 weeks.

as completed the programs designs for kids (under the age of 8)

o Part 1: Role-play with peers.

: 45 minutes (writing + reading + grammar) + ~10 minutes

o Part 1: listening to 2-3 extracts of recorded audio and answer
o Part 2: Multiple choice questions (10-15 questions)

o Part 4: Reading comprehension
o Part 5: Sentence completion
