Dr. Erik Velasco


RESEARCH SCIENTIST

CENSAM Center for Environmental Sensing and Modelling

Dr. Erik Velasco is a Research Scientist specialized in Air Quality and Greenhouse gases. He
already published 20+ international scientific papers and presentations pertaining to air
pollution, greenhouse gas emissions, carbon sequestration and climatology in urban
environments
He achieved his Bsc in Mechanical Engineering & Msc (Hons) in Environmental Engineering
at the National Autonomous University of Mexico, Mexico and attained his PhD in Civil and
Environmental Engineering at Washington State University, USA.
Dr. Velascos main target of study is within the (Sub)tropical cities. The purpose of his work
is to provide a scientific base for devising control strategies to reduce emissions of harmful
pollutants and greenhouse gases.

Confirmation of registration will be emailed within 7 (seven) working days prior to the
commencement date.
If you are not able to attend, please inform us in writing at least 3 (three) working days
before the commencement date. Otherwise, full payment is applicable if you are not able
to attend the Seminar.
Only 1 (one) replacement request is allowed per application/ applicant/ registrant.
The Institution reserves the right to make appropriate changes at its discretion although
every effort will be made to inform participants in time.
