I learned that moving out and living on your own is harder than it
seems. People usually think that all you need to do is buy or rent the
property and just there. However, that is not true because there are so many
bills and expenses you have to pay like the hydro, cable, and internet bill. I
also learned that you really need to look at your income and budget and plan
accordingly about how much you are going to have to spend on expenses
and bills. If you dont plan right and dont think about how you are going to
do things before you do them, you will run into financial problems later like
not having enough money to pay a bill because you spent it on some new
shoes. One thing I never considered was the bill I had to pay for the gas I was
using in the house. This surprised me because I had no idea that was
actually a bill you had to pay for. A challenged I faced was finding a good
rental place for a decent price because many of them have high prices which
were too much for my budget. I was first looking at house rentals but I soon
noticed that this wasnt going to work because they costed too much money
and I couldnt afford that with my budget. So I decided to look for basement
rentals because they were cheaper and after looking around for a good price,
I finally got one that I could afford.

I think that some things I must do now to ensure success in the future
and attain the lifestyle I ideally want by the time I turn 25 are getting a job
and saving money. These are important because if I get a job now I will start
to earn money, which if I can save, can end up helping a lot financially when
I decide to move out. If not, it could help pay for my education as well.
Another thing I need to do now to ensure success in the future is to volunteer
a lot and help out in the community in as many ways as I possibly can. This
will help me in the future because it will help me get into universities easier
as they dont just look at grades but also look at how many volunteer hours

you have done. Another thing I need to do now is study a lot and get very
good grades. This will help because it will make it easier to get into
universities if you have good grades because they want people who are
smart and get good marks. Also, planning out how much all the expenses will
cost me to move out now is something that will help me attain success in the
future. It will help because if I start planning now and get a good idea of how
much the bills will cost, I will get a good idea of how much money and
income I will need to have when the time to move out comes.
Tuesday: I wake up in the morning, get ready for school, eat breakfast, and
then leave in my car to the Vancouver UBC campus where I am currently
doing medical school. After class has ended for the day, I come home and
relax for a bit. I watch TV, eat some food, play games, and then start
studying and doing my homework. After hours of that (Medical school has
lots of homework and studying) I would maybe get a snack and then go
shoot some hoops outside and come back into my garage to work out. After
that I would come inside, eat dinner and watch TV, until finally reading a
book before falling asleep.
Saturday: I wake up in the morning, get ready for work, eat breakfast, and
then leave in my car to whatever part-time job I have at that time (Wendys,
McDonalds, Burger King, A&W). After a full eight hour shift, I would come
home and relax for a bit while I eat food. Maybe watch some TV, go on my
phone, or play video games. After that I would Study and do any homework I
need to do. After a couple hours of that, I would check to see how dark it is
outside. If it isnt dark, I would go and play some basketball outside; but if it
is dark, then I would just go into my garage and work out. After doing one of
those things, I would come inside and watch some TV while I eat my dinner.
After that I would read a book and then go to sleep.
