1. To study the diversity of bird species found in
the forest Plawangan based taxonomic,
ecological, comparison to research results in
2010
2. To identify the composition of bird in
Plawangan Forest based on the guild type

Research Methods
Research Site and Period:
Plawangan Forest 3 routes : Tlogo Nirmolo, Tlogo
Putri and Puncak. 30thAugust to 24th November 2012
Data Collection:
Point count method (30 station x 2)
Data Analysis :
1. Species data checklist
2. Shanon-Wiener index
3. Comparation to 2010 data (April May)
4. Grouping by guild type: density, frequency,
importance value histogram

Research Results
From this study, found 45 species of birds are scattered on the
route Tlogo Putri, Tlogo Nirmolo and Puncak Plawangan

Bird species that are found always at the observation

point both in research studies in 2010 and 2012 is Eumyias
indigo, Pycnonotus aurigaster and Lonchura leucogastroides
Based on the of the Shannon-Wiener analysis, Plawangan
index value of 2.64 from the range 0-4 moderate levels of
bird diversity.

The birds that found in Plawangan in 2012

classified by its guilds, there are 6 groups of birds with
different types of feed.

Conclusion
45 species of birds belong to 22 families
included in the 8 order.
Ecologically moderate level diversity index.
In 2012 found 38 species of birds in which
Tlogo Putri and Tlogo Nirmolo while in 2010 as
many as 70 species of birds found in the path.
6 feeding type mostly : insectivore
