FirstijustgiveyouabriefintroductionaboutQuickviewerandSAPQuery

Quickviewer:QuickViewerisasimpletooltodesigncustomreportswithouttheneedforany
programming.YoucanuseittodesignandrunQuickViews(reportsdesignedusingQuickViewer)andexport
themtospreadsheets.Notethatthesereportsareuserspecificandcannotbesharedwithotherusers.

SAPQuery:SAPQueryisanothertooltocreatereportswithoutanyprogramming.Queryhasmorefeatures
thanQuickView.Themainadvantageisthataquerycanbesharedwithagroupofusers.

Nowthebusinessrequirementistocreateareportwhichconsistsoffollowingtables
VBAP
VBAK
VBKD
LIKP

Hereiwilltrytoexplainhowtolinkthistableinonereport.youcancreatethisspecialreportwith
QuickviewerandSAPQuery.
Creatingreportswiththequickviewer:
Toaccessthistool,thepathisSAPMenu>Tools>ABAPWorkbench>Utilities>QuickViewer(SQVI)
1.GototcodeSQVIandspecifydesiredquickviewernameandcreate.
2.Apopupwillappearthanselect"tablejoin"optionindatasourcefieldandenter.
3.Gotomenubaredit>inserttables.maintaintablenameandenter
4.Ifyouwanttoinsertaonemoretablefollowthestep3.
5.Gobackandselectthefieldwhichyouwantinavailablefields.
6.finallysavetherecordandexecute.
7.youcanchangethereportlayoutbyusing"layoutmode"pushbuttonbeforesavingthequickviewr.

Step1Infosets:
1.CreateinfosetswithtcodeSQ02andspecifydesiredinfosetnameandcreate.
2.Apopupwillappearthanselect"tablejoinusingbasistable"radiobuttonandmaintainonetablenamein

3.Gotomenubaredit>inserttables.maintaintablenameandenter
4.Ifyouwanttoinsertaonemoretablefollowthestep3.
5.Gobackandselect"createemptyfieldgroups"radiobuttononpopup.

7.clickonGeneratebuttonontopleft.

8.createtheusergroupswithtcodeSQ03andspecifydesiredusergroupnameandcreate.
9entertheusergroupnameonpopupandsavethegroup.
10.onthesamescreenclickon"assignusersandinfosets"
11,entertheusernameswhoisgoingtobeusethisparticularrecordandclickassigninfosetsontopleft.

15enterthetitle/notesandclick"Nextscreen(f6)button.
16selectallyourtablesandclicksamenextscreen(f6)button.
17selectallthefieldwitchyouwantandagainclicksamenextscreen(f6)button.
18selecttheallfieldsandenter.sonowyoucanassignthenumbersequencetothefield

Note:ThefieldsSVand1Zallowyoutofurthercontroltheselectionparameters.IfyouselecttheSVboxnexttoa
selectionfield,youcannotspecifyarangeofvaluesintheselectionscreenforthatfield(thatistosay,theToValuebox
issuppressed).Ontheotherhand,ifyouselectthe1Zbox,youcannotspecifymultiplevaluesintheselectionscreen.
19.nowyoucanchangethelayoutdesignbyselecting"Basiclist"button.

20.Intheselectionbasiclistwhileweenterwegettheabovescreen,whichenablesyoutoaddcolourstoyour
report,andthecolumnadjustments,etc.Donotforgettoseethewholeviewondatafieldsontoplefthandside
soastoentertickmarksfinallytoselectfieldswhichshouldcome,inwhatprioritycomeetc.Youalsoneedto
addheadertextandfootertextintheabovepane,whichispresentaspushbuttons.

SometipsontheuseofSAPQueryInfosetsaswedontgetalltheinformationdirectlyfrom
transparenttables.

Importanceofusingonlythekeyfieldsasselectionfields.Otherwisetheperformancewillbeseverely
hampered.

Notadvisableforthebeginnerstousethistool!asitisverycriticalonthesystemperformance.
