Assessment Task 1 Project based on Case study
In this assessment you must demonstrate:

Development of a comprehensive diversity policy with details of an


implementation strategy and how it will be monitored and reviewed OR
Critical analysis of an existing policy with an evaluation of its effectiveness and
recommendation for improvement
Knowledge of relevant legislation, codes of practice and national standards.

The following assessment tasks must be completed by you to enable you to demonstrate
these skills. This will be conducted using the simulated business Bounce Fitness and
conduct all of the activities.
This assessment require you to review the diversity policy of bounce Fitness .To achieve
this you must complete the following tasks.
The documents you will require include:

Infrastructure tab /Business planning and strategy documents.


Policies tab/ Human resources /personal policies
Procedures tab/ Human resources folder

Question 1 - Research Diversity


This task requires you to research and report on existing benefits and information in
relation to diversity within Bounce fitness. Your Report should investigate current policy
regarding diversity, as well as look at how this policy is working within your organization.
Back up on any statements you make with figures and data gathered during your
research (which may include accessing diversity policies from other organizations).
Address the followings
a) Analysis the existing policy, practices and information on the bounce fitness website
relating to diversity.
b) Identifying the potential of diversity in the workplace and analyse these in relation to
the business planning and strategies documents of Bounce Fitness.
c) Who would you consult in terms of key stakeholders about their requirements for a
diversity policy?
d) Access diversity policies from other organizations similar to Bounce Fitness and
review for their relevance to Bounce Fitness.

Question 2 - Draft Diversity Policy: This task requires you to draft a diversity policy and
plan to implement it.

Address the followings


a) Draft a new diversity policy for Bounce Fitness using information from your
research to improve the diversity policy
b) Once your diversity policy has been written, develop an action plan to enable
the diversity policy to be put into action.
c) Describe how you will provide copies of the diversity policy to key
stakeholders and get feedback on the policy. Use this information to revise
the policy.
d) Will this change any other policies? What needs to be changes provide details
of change required? Revise all policies accordingly and submit with your
assessment.

Question 3 Theory: Implement the diversity Policy


This task requires you tom plan to promote the new diversity across Bounce Fitness.
Address the followings:
a) How will you promote the new diversity policy across Bounce Fitness?
b) Describe and discuss the tools, Benchmarks and indicators that you developed
for measuring the impact of the policy implementation.
c) How would you monitor the business activities, team plan and staff
performance to ensure that the diversity policy is effectively implemented?

Question 4 Review the diversity Policy: This task requires you to review your new
diversity
From groups of three (3) within your training group and read the assessment of the
other two in your group while they read yours. After you discuss each assessment,
giving and receiving feedback, use this feedback to address the following:
a) What information did you and the other members of your group use to
measure your diversity policy and identify any areas where improvements
need to be made?

b) Develop and make your changes and submit the original policy and the revised
version for assessment.

This task requires that learners answers a series of questions that must be put to all
learners.
a) List a number of benefits that diversity can bring to an organization .How do
these relate specially to business objectives?
b) In your research you have accessed diversity policies from a number of other
organizations. What did you learn from this and how relevant was the
information gathered?
c) What could impact on implementation of the policy?
d) What changes did you make to the draft policy after consulting with your
stakeholders?
