Being introduced to the charter school system was an interesting educational

experience. I was used to the way normal public schools ran coming from Lokelani
. I had to quickly adapt if I did not want to fall behind on grades and classes
because by freshman year I was already aware of the amount of effort I had to pu
t in to pass. One of the teachers who I got to understand very well was Mr. Thom
as. He had an interesting personality but when it came to performing in his clas
s I always seemed to have surprised him with my knowledge at the time with a bac
kground in computer science and video editing. He assigned a project where stude
nts had to create an autobiography as incoming freshman to get to know more abou
t each other. Lacking in video editing structure, I quickly went into making an
autobiography showcasing more of my current video editing skills then my actual
background. This is a problem I was first aware of freshman year and have contin
ued to practice having a strong structured video as well as adding some of my pe
rsonal edits to the point where it does not overwhelm the audience and gets the
message through clear about the video is about.
Charter schools run off of a set of skills that each student must grow upon i
n order to prove progression in life. These skills are known as the 21st Century
Skills and have developed me as a person by making me realize my strengths and
weaknesses. Access to the internet has made my informational skills pretty limit
ed but once I reached outside the web and contacted mentors, companies, and othe
r sources of information I quickly realized how much of the internet information
can be manipulated into something totally different and revolves around an opin
ion. Communicational skills was one I wasn t too familiar with because I learned m
ore by listening and thought situations through more than expressing personal op
inions or ideas. Learning how to properly communicate with all different types o
f people will be an essential tool in business which is the pass I have decided
to pursue so I will definitely always improve upon this skill. Thinking and prob
lem solving was one of my naturally born skills with always figuring out a solut
ion to a problem but not always the best solution. I have grown upon spending mo
re time about the best possible solution then an immediate answer which will be
brought upon me in important business decisions. Interpersonal skills meaning ho
w well I can work with others has developed me as a person to see all opinions o
n a matter and also making sure my time is spent productively as well as other t
eam members which will benefit me in group discussions about a current cause or
problem. Self directional goals is the ability to set a path and stick to it all
by yourself and has taught me incredible discipline when accomplishing a task o
r goal. Being aware of the mass majority, Global Awareness skill has been a huge
new door for me to explore when processing marketing plans and ideas. Because o
f my passion for business entrepreneurship the Financial, Economic, and Business
Literacy skill has grown on me to opening my eyes to being structured in a comp
any. Civic Literacy and Engagement has been a limited skill but was well worth i
ncreasing into finding local businesses and organizations willing to help a caus
e I am interested in.

I have been constantly asked what is my passion. My passion is progression wh

ich causes people to ask me what I am trying to progress towards or what is my e
nd goal. The thing is I will continue to grow after my goal is accomplished and
prove to not only kids but people of all ages that goals don't have limitations
that cannot be exceeded and live with the mindset of proud but never satisfied.
My very first interest in something I would want to pursue was graphic design. I
mage and first impression is key and when I was spending time on the computer I

would need to create a social identity with pictures and wallpapers to describe
my likes and interests. Once I understood programs like Paint.Net and Photoshop,
I was able to play around for hours creating new designs and patterns with reso
urces actual graphic designers were providing. Owning a graphic design network w
here I can automate sales and orders with templates I can put together to provid
e a satisfying product would be a future goal I would like to accomplish. I was
never one to enjoy spending too much time on the computer and loved to do sports
and be active. This is where my passion for bodybuilding came in. I looked at t
he pros and cons of what sports provided and what bodybuilding provided. I decid
ed to take the more aesthetic route and pursued a passion for bodybuilding where
I hopefully plan to stand on the Mr. Olympia stage in the near future.
