CHALLENGES OF WOMEN EMPLOYEES OF INDIA

ABSTRACT

Women employees are facing so many challenges in their work place. One such kind of
challenges is several harassment and other misbehavior faced by the some cruel minded people
is highly condemned one. This paper is aimed to address such kind of harassments of women
employees of Tamilnadu and India as well.
INTRODUCTION
India is one of the highly well represented country in the world in providing safety and
security to women employees. Now in the recent days the role of sexual harassments and other
kind of immoral activities against women has been alarming to the women society. This kind of
trend has to be prevented. Due to the weakness of psychological natures, the working women
are facing severe difficulties in their work place.
In the year 1997, the National commission for women conducted the survey. The
survey reveal that newly 50 percent of women are facing all alleged mental or psychological
harassment at their work places.
Statement of Employee the Problem
1. Women are vulnerable to face their difficulties in the work place.
2. Weakness of moral values of human atmosphere.
This particular paper is aimed to analyse the various types of crime against women in Tamil
Nadu and India.

Data Base for the Study


Secondary data published from various police reports and national crime record bureau
published by government of India were to be used to analyse the various crimes against
women in Tamil Nadu and India.
Now we are going to analyse the various crimes against the women in Tamil Nadu with
help of table .1.

From the abuse table 1 cleanly ravels that newly 40 cases one reported as rape in Tamil
Nadu. At the all India level the member is reported as 24923.
The kidnapping of children is reported 51 for Tamil Nadu in the year 2012. It is 47592
for all India level. This figure is giving an alarming rate of crimes hindered to the social
development of the country.

These two tables will clearly indicate the actual picture of Tamil Nadu in the case of
rapes and other social evils faced by the women employees.
With the absence of specific I am to prevent social evils against women the section so
of IPC give deals with the sexual harassment of women.
The intervention of supreme court of India with the provision of guidelines in the year
1997, the status working women employees they got significant improvements based on the
guidelines, the employers is responsible for both preventing and sexual harassments and taking
action is fruitful for women social developments.
Conclusion:
Women employees are facing so many problems in their work place is sexual
harassment is a serious one and it has to be addressed with specific, defined laws and took
appropriate action in their regard is one of the remedial measures to reduce to evils of sexual
harassment of women employees is achievable one in the coming days. This particular case of
sexual harassment of women employees are clearly indicate true nature of women
empowerment in the society.
