Pastoral Care 2016

All students to attend all Pastoral Care lessons. Any absences or frequent non-attendance to be followed up and addressed by caregroup teachers
and any information/names passed on to YLC.

The course outlines are provide to assist YLCs and caregroup teachers. Changes can be made depending on the needs of a specific year level or
caregroup class (please inform PC Coordinator).

Materials have been made for most lessons to assist caregroup teachers to deliver the course content. These lesson plans are available from YLCs
(who will store them in folders in their offices) and some are available on the Common Drive.

Teachers are welcome to adapt the lesson materials provided or to develop their own provided the course content is still being met.

Pastoral Care teachers are asked to ensure that they are familiar with the weeks content/materials before the lesson and that they peruse the
materials provided (if using them) to ensure websites referred to still work, relevant worksheets are copied, etc.

Pastoral Care lessons are NOT be used as study lessons or other subject lessons (e.g. P.C. is not to be used to finish off your English lesson).

BMR has requested that each caregroup prepares and conduct a liturgy throughout the year as part of P.C. (e.g. 8B runs a Year level liturgy in Term
1; 8G runs one in Term 2, etc.)

Teachers of both P.C. and R.E. will notice there is some overlap in course content. Where this is the case please do not simply rehash in one subject
what youve done in another approach the content from a different angle (see the P.C. lesson plans as they are not from MITIOG). Doing it in
different terms could also help.
