The facts that would serve as the foundation of this study will come from several books,
news articles, journals and online websites which can be a best source of information that are
essential in research.
1. Alzona, Encarnacion, ed. Julio Nakpil and the Philippine Revolution: With the
Autobiography of Gregoria De Jesus. Quezon City: Academic Pub., 1997. Print.
This book has a biography and compilation of few works of Gregoria de
Jesus, the book also tackled the life of his second husband, Julio Nakpil
and some of the events in the Philippine Revolution. The autobiography of
Gregoria de Jesus is found in pages 155-171.

3. Philippines Bureau of Public Libraries. Some Outstanding Filipino Women : Short
Biographies. Manila: n.p., 1955. Print.
These books have a biography of Melchora Aquino, it discussed her early
life, career and major contributions. Found in page 3 of Some Outstanding
Filipino Women : Short Biographies. And in pages 59-60 of Gintong
Aklat: Mga Pusong Dakila at Mga Pusong Bayani.
4. Zaide, Gregorio F. Famous Women in Our History : A Study of the Lives and Services of
Our Famous Women. Manila, 1943. Print.
This book is a compilation of biographies of famous Filipino women in
the past. Melchora Aquino (P.14-17), Gregoria de Jesus (P.35-38) and
Teresa Magbanua (P.45-49) including other famous woman are found in
this research material.
5. Soriano, Rafaelita Hilario. Women in the Philippine Revolution. Manila: R.H. Soriano,
1995. Print.
This book is also a compilation of Famous Filipino womens biographies,
Melchora Aquino (P.11-15), Gregoria de Jesus (P.55-64) and Teresa
Magbanua (P.73-77) are some of the significant figures that are described.

This book is also a compilation of Famous Filipino womens biographies.


Melchora Aquino is found on pages 21-23 while Gregoria de Jesus is in
pages 50-52.

This book has biorgraphies about Filipina heroes who contributed in
nation building including Melchora Aquino, Teresa Magbanua and
Gregoria de Jesus, it is found in pages 247-263.

This is a book about Helena Benitez, the administrator of the Philippine
Women's University. It also discussed the qualities and characteristic of a
classic woman, the information in the book can help in defining and
describing the classic woman in the past. This information is essential
because its important to see the classic characteristic of a Filipina before,
this can define what makes the Filipina heroes a hero.

This book is about the history of Panay, it also discussed significant
people from the province who has notable roles in the community/country.
Teresa Magbauas is one of the people that are discussed, her contribution
is discussed in page 456-458

This book discusses the famous people in the Philippine revolution,
