The waste problem is a common problem that must be resolved. Problem
solving about waste can not be done only once. Waste is an unused thing again and waste will continue to be produced. So, the completion of the waste problem is a process to be continued. Waste management in Jayapura city should be improved. Waste management that is not ready is influenced by several factors such as a lack of understanding of the people about waste management and the Government has not provided the funds to conduct waste management. Planning policy on waste management is done by studying the issues of waste management, waste management in developed countries and provide a budget to deal with waste that continue to be produced.

In 1995, the Government, through the Central Java Office of the tourist, has researched the development of tourism for the Islands Karimunjawa. Karimunjawa has the potential to be developed but failed in terms of review visits and community involvement in the development of conservation plans. Karimunjawa Islands tourism should be developed on the basis of selective and small scale. Development must also be supported by the technical guidelines or management. The management guidelines pay attention to environmental impacts of tourism development, the legal framework and monitoring developments as stakeholders. Public education programs and community involvement should also be encouraged to support the tourism plan.
